[Bug 480791] Re: empathy does not display certificate error, interface for importing certificates missing

2010-05-20 Thread miq
network error message occurs when a jabber server certificate changes.
There is no simple way to delete the old certificate. Ignore SSL
certificate errors does not work in this case.

[Bug 571148] [NEW] privoxy 3.0.15-3 binds to IPv6 localhost only at boot

2010-04-28 Thread miq
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: privoxy

source package: privoxy
version: 3.0.15-3
release: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS

After boot, 'netstat -anp | grep' 8118 says:
 tcp6   0  0 ::1:8118:::*LISTEN
   -
With proxy address 'localhost:8118' it works with Firefox, but very low
performance.
Opera 10.10 doesn't work with these settings.

After 'sudo /etc/init.d/privoxy restart' :
 tcp0  0 127.0.0.1:8118  0.0.0.0:*   LISTEN
   -
Firefox and Opera 10.10 both work. No performance impacts.

'/var/log/privoxy/logfile' is empty.

[Bug 181703] Re: Brasero does not recognize audio CD or blank CD-R

2009-01-16 Thread miq
I can confirm that it seems to be related to the drive you use. I have 2
Samsung Drives in my PC, the old PATA SM-352B recognizes the blank CD
correctly and the SH-223Q reports the size as 0 Bytes.

Please backport the fix to intrepid because it is really annoying.

[Bug 218070] Re: Nautilus not showing the desktop icons wallpaper on login

2008-05-17 Thread miq
I have exactly the same problem since yesterday (16.05.08). My System is
pretty standard and I have an Nvidia card, which should rule out the
graphics driver entirely. Background is drawn, no icons though

[Bug 156428] Re: hard drive not detected since gutsy update

2007-10-30 Thread miq
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 154591 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/154591

The Problem seems to be in a list of Seagate harddrives which require
special treatments. Here is the source code that causes problems:

static const struct drive_list_entry hpa_list[] = {
{ ST340823A,  NULL },
{ ST320413A,  NULL },
{ NULL, NULL }
};

You see the *two* affected harddrives. The firmware version, which is
the second field in the struct is set to NULL. The function strstr(const
char* haystack, const char* needle) chokes on a NULL-needle. Looking at
the other places where such a list is constructed and how these lists
are used, the fix (or at least workaround) is easy:

static const struct drive_list_entry hpa_list[] = {
{ ST340823A,  ALL },
{ ST320413A,  ALL },
{ NULL, NULL }
};

I changed the source and built a custom kernel for the affected system
and it works now. Hope this helps.

[Bug 42601] Re: Eog eats up enormous amount of CPU and RAM when opening a .jpg

2006-08-03 Thread miq
Yes, with most jpgs I have. Some work fine. It really looks like some kind of
endless loop to me.
Unfortunately I have no idea how to give you more/better information.
After the image is displayed by double clicking in nautilus, eog continues to
hog the cpu and memory consumption grows.
