[Bug 660714] Re: When pressing previous/next song Rhythmbox crashes (listening to iPod only) - SIGSEGV in orc_x86_emit_push()

2010-10-14 Thread moly82
found the problem! it was the crossfading effect!!

disabled it and now everything works properly.. sorry for that.. I
always like to look and change/customize settings immediately instead of
using the SW for some time first.. that's not very clever I know!

I think you can close the bug.. that's not a big problem at all having
to disable the crossfading.. :P

bye!

SIGSEGV in orc_x86_emit_push()

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: rhythmbox

I'm on Maverick Meerkat, all updated to the very latest packages.

When I connect my iPod to the USB port, and select Rhythmbox to listen
to it on the dialog that appears, I can see the iPod content.

Then I can play a song doubleclicking on it, but at this point if a want
to skip the song and press the "next song" button (or also the "previous
song" button) Rhythmbox crashes and I have to restart it.

Also if I doubleclick on another song while I am listening another song
  it crashes.

- Instead, if I wait for the song to finish, it automatically goes to the
- next song without any problems.
-
- So as a temporary fix if I want to skip a song I go fast forward till
- near the finish (let's say the song is 4:00 minutes, I go to 3:58), and
- wait for it to automatically go to the next song.
-
  Please fix it! Thanks!
-
- I have a pretty old iPod (iPod Photo 30gb), could this be the reason?
-
- If you need any logs let me know, I can post them tonight when I come
- back home..

Anyway, congratulations for you work, last ubuntu (and rhythmbox) really
  rocks!

REQUEST: please add the "browse by compilation" feature that is present
in iTunes, this will organize much better our databases, reducing the
  number of artists and albums!

2007-03-18 Thread moly82
the update is already available to be downloaded/installed via adept?
because I have just updated my kubuntu, and I still have to manually load the
tifm_sd module to get the card reader to work..

[Bug 55507] Re: sdhci driver doesn't recognize anymore my sd card reader

2007-02-22 Thread moly82
everything works here after running manually the following command from
Konsole:

sudo setpci -s nn:nn.n 4c.b=0x02 (of course I had to replace the "n"
with the Mass storage controller device number visible from "lspci", in my case
it is: 02:06.3 )

with the previous kubuntu stable release everything worked out of the
box, is it a kernel bug?

In the meantime, I could make the TI SD reader works following th instructions
here:

in particular, I had to run the following command from Konsole:

sudo setpci -s nn:nn.n 4c.b=0x02 (of course I had to replace the "n"
with the device number visible from "lspci" )
