[Bug 151448] Re: Wacom pressure sensitivity lacking under Wine applications.

2024-05-06 Thread monte
I've been testing extensively for couple of days.
Wine 9.8 vanilla - SAI2 works out of the box, Photoshop CS4, 2017, 2020 tested
and are broken. Pen pressure seems to be "working" but in a broken way, it
registers pen press and the release events, and draws a straight line between
this two points. It is only updated after pen release. Pressure is also only
accounted at the time of pen down event. So basically unusable. The behavior
changes if you unstack the canvas window from tabs line. Then pen works just
like a simple mouse cursor, without lag but without any pressure control
either. It seems like wintab is not used in this configuration, once you stack
canvas back everything works as previously.
Wine 9.8 staging (proton, tkg) - wintab seems to be broken, in SAI2 can't draw
with a pen, in Photoshop behaves as a simple mouse cursor. After applying
staging patches one by one, I've found the culprit -
https://github.com/wine-staging/wine-staging/blob/master/patches/user32-rawinput-mouse/0005-winex11-Keep-track-of-mouse-device-and-pointer-butto.patch
The patch related to mouse raw input, somehow it brakes wintab.
I'd like to be able to use pen input in photoshop to the full extend, it seems
so close, just find a way to make photoshop read motion events, and not only
the button ones.

[Bug 1589401] Re: cannot view wifi networks after re-enabling wifi

2017-02-23 Thread monte
Please try network-manager-1.2.6 from xenial-proposed, if you have
16.04. For me it seems to fix this bug. But when you will test don't
forget to turn off all self-made scripts to see if it really does the
job.

@deragon Yes, you are right, there is related bug, see bug #1589401. But
I'm pretty sure this have one origin and it is wifi driver, especially
for intel cards. If you look at the bottom of the discussion on the
mentioned bug, you'll find that problem remains even after change to
another network manager, so it is deeper than it may look.

@jasauders
Problem is that bug is present not only for suspend/resume scenario, but also
for wifi on/off. And for me it even drop connection sometimes and can't
reconnect without wifi restart. It's a problem with wifi drivers and devs not
seems to care about it.

Centrino Advanced-N 6205 here too. I have different issues from time to

happen without some strict manner, the only thing for sure is that after
every suspend I have to restart nm-applet to bring it back to normal
work.

Have this bug on fresh install on Lenovo x230t, Intel 6205 card. Have to
restart nm-applet after every suspend. It seems that restart of network-
manager service produces same bug to applet. I mean doing "sudo service

manually.

[Bug 1293497] Re: window title has incorrect subpixel antialias on high-dpi screen

2014-04-23 Thread monte
Would like to add that this behavior can be seen not only in title bar. Some
programs (gedit for example) and certain gtk elements (as drop-down menus) also
has wrong subpixel antialiasing. Changing setting between rgb and bgr in
/org/gnome/settings-daemon/plugins/xsettings/rgba-order makes no difference
for cases mentioned above. But when changing to vrgb or vbgr there is
visible difference. It looks like some internal gnome or gtk setting is hard
set to bgr and doesn't get value of rgb in any case. Turning monitor and
picture 180 degrees confirms this statement - the text is smooth and without
any color edges.
In attached screenshot you can see examples of this bug. There is picture of
UbuntuTweak window, Cairo Dock tooltip and comparison between text rendering in
gedit and leafpad. When you zoom image you can see that in first three cases
text have red color shifted to the right, though it has to be shifted to the
left.

Preview text in main window don't work. You can type any word in
PreferencesDisplay but it still will show just the name of the font.
In the same time other options of text preview are working, you can
choose size, subtitled and is RTL options and see changes. But the

Well, I've just experimented with chat accounts a bit, and discovered a

Preamble. So I have some jabber accounts (most of them are
googletalk-hosted), one yahoo account and one salut account. When salut
account is enabled, other jabber accounts change status to busy instead of
hidden. As I've disabled salut account, other jabber accounts started to

So, workaround is following — disable salut, change status to hidden,
enable salut back (if you want to).

Should I file a bug like 'salut makes gabble accounts unable to set

Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
- the Lucid Lynx - released in April 2010 and supported until
April 2013.
