[Bug 877576] [NEW] a Cd with 99 tracks slows dolphin very very badly
Public bug reported: i havbe tried normal music cds which slow things down but not badly. With the 99 track cd it tales about 20 seconds for dolphin to start and using dolphin for browsing my computer's file system is nearly impossible. Konquorer appears not to slow down. 11.10 This problem also occurs when the cd is connected via an external usb dvd-rom drive. No web page was found for the web address: file:///var/tmp/kdecache- mike/krun/9539.0.RSPB%20-%2001%20-%20Whooper%20Swan%20(calls).wav The system seems to be trying to copy the file to kdecache and fails for some reason. At the point above I have removed the cd from the drive and kde is still trying to copy the file to cache. Closing amarok seems to stop the problem. [Bug 592110] Re: kdm configuration can't be saved
I'm sure I have had a similar issue. My main login lost all desktop settings and they don't appear to be saved on login. On the main log in screen the passed user name isn't stored. I created a new user and the new user appears to have all the correct settings saved. I tried renamimg all the plasma files in what I think is the place where the stuff is saved , but no use. I am upgrading from rc to 7,10. The upgrade fails during the modifying software channels.
