[Bug 554079] Re: Lucid boot failed to complete after fsck

2010-04-07 Thread muzah
bugs out after removing nvidia* !

Before, I was stopped with fsck @71% and just access to #2.
Problem with gdm-start/stop

I tried to remove nvidia* and reboot : display problem detected by
ubuntu, corrected and reboot : it works.

But no 3D effect n_n

Is the bug comes from nvidia driver ?

[Bug 262845] Re: Slow read from SATA HDD in Intrepid

2008-10-24 Thread muzah
I made an experiment :

sudo hdparm -W 0 /dev/sda

disable the write cache on my SATA device.

The transfer speed was about 7Mo/s (My bad for the first post, I wrote
"7Ko/s"...) and with the Write cache disable, the transfert speed is
about 45Mo/s !

Is somebody would try to do the same experiment ?

Thanks!

2007-10-16 Thread muzah
Hi! Some friends on a french forum find a way to correct this problem :

http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=154950

So, it's in french but a command line is multilanguage, isn't it ? ;)
We think thas multiple changes between kernel, module & nvidia drivers are
guilty. And maybe the keyboard / chair interface...

[Bug 88511] Re: Crash when entering "glxinfo | grep rendering"

Hi everybody!
I solved the problem by installing the nvidia non-free driver.
The command "glxinfo | grep rendering" says "yes" and now wine don't make the X
crash.

So I'm not really sure these crashes are the result of a bug.
