[Bug 1101966] Re: shotwell doesn't support using removable storage devices for managed photos
I workarounded this by creating a soft symlink to my exernal drive. ~/Pictures/BigBackup/ links to /media/BigBackup/Photos What's good of Shotwell is the auto-conversion of filesystem to library in the interface, and the recursive viewing (ie standing in 2010 I get full of nice memories :) No other software has that awesome feature that I'm aware of. But the problem is how long it is to rebuild the root when the media is plugged back in. I'd suggest something like keeping an index on the removable media. Shotwell is a great tool, thanks. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1101966 Title: shotwell doesn't support using removable storage devices for managed photos To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shotwell/+bug/1101966/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1171344] Re: ImportError: No module named apport
Hi I'm also affected, running Raring as of now. And connected to a wired network as I can not install the Wireless drivers I kept in a .deb on my HD for this kind of situations. Upgrading kernel requires reinstalling the .deb for Wireless. But now I'm totally caught. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1171344 Title: ImportError: No module named apport To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dkms/+bug/1171344/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1016825] Re: Audio gaps and runaway logging after a while
I'm attaching part of my syslog with Pulse started in Debug mode. The block is exactly when the issue started. I need to mention also that without alsa the issue appears as a short silence. With alsa, the issue is like a scratched CD. When I say with or without is alsa installed or removed. Hopefully this helps. ** Attachment added: syslog https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1016825/+attachment/3412606/+files/syslog -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1016825 Title: Audio gaps and runaway logging after a while To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1016825/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1045771] Re: Underruns and stuttering
I think https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa- driver/+bug/1016825 is related to this one, but I can't find how to suggest the relationship in Launchpad; also affects project option seemed the most likely to be but gave me an error. [Bug 1016825] Re: Audio gaps and runaway logging after a while
I've experienced this issue during 2 weeks approximately. Started after an upgrade too. I've 2 laptops at home and 1 desktop at the office; all running Mint, and all updated to the same version -I would need to double check this, but as I upgrade regularly I think this is the case. I've this issue at home only, in a Macbook pro 6,2. The desktop and the other laptop, both Dell, don't show this issue. At the beginning it was more like a scratched CD; but after trying to solve the problem by upgrading, downgrading, removing packages, etc. it's just silence for a period of 1 second and a half approx. I would upload part of the syslog but I don't think it's necessary, it shows pretty much this Oct 21 21:25:30 pau pulseaudio[8779]: [pulseaudio] module-udev-detect.c: /dev/snd/controlC0 is accessible: yes Oct 21 21:26:31 pulseaudio[8779]: last message repeated 478 times Oct 21 21:27:31 pulseaudio[8779]: last message repeated 480 times Oct 21 21:28:31 pulseaudio[8779]: last message repeated 420 times Oct 21 21:29:31 pulseaudio[8779]: last message repeated 236 times Oct 21 21:30:31 pulseaudio[8779]: last message repeated 231 times Pulse is running without verbose mode; just notice; I've tried to increase it by updating /etc/init/pulseaudio.conf but seems like it didn't work. I'll try again later on; but it's good to know that I'm not alone on this one.
