[Bug 222643] Re: removable medias mounted for every user logged
i confirm this behavior for mounting usb camera too. when i switch to other users (after a session of mounting and unmounting of a usb camera) i see "left over" dialogs from the times when i plugged in the camera (on the previous user) the camera is no longer connected (physically) . actually, they are confused... when switching to their desktop and faced with those dialogs. i think, pluggable mounted devices should display auto-mount-dialogs for the current user only. maybe? another related issue/bug... if i plug the camera on some user's session and then move to some other user's session i get dbus error. and when i move back to the first user's session i see the auto-mount-dialog still open on the desktop. only when i move through all the open user's sessions on the system and close all the redundant dialogs i can mount the camera successfully on the user's session. -- removable medias mounted for every user logged https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/222643 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 288132] Re: f-spot fullscreen forward and backward are reversed in hebrew rtl UI
for rtl (hebrew) UI, i think the order of icons should be a little different. 1. forward (arrow pointing to the left) , play (triangle pointing to the left) , backwards (arrow pointing to the right) since the entire UI flow of rtl users is right to left, i think the PLAY button should point to the left and the forward arrow too ( as i see in many applications, ex. firefox ) BUT maybe the universal convention of PLAY is an icon of a play button pointing to the right ? anyways, the UI flow should be right to left. 2. the exit icon is half off bar. 3. the entire bar should be centred ? or justified to the right ? ** Attachment added: "תצלום מסך.png" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/18946262/%D7%AA%D7%A6%D7%9C%D7%95%D7%9D%20%D7%9E%D7%A1%D7%9A.png -- f-spot fullscreen forward and backward are reversed in hebrew rtl UI https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/288132 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

just updated the entire system (23-jun-08) and i still get this message on login thou, system seems to function properly. {so far :-) } "gnome-setting manager: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. gnome will try to activate the setting manager next time you login." -- dialog message on login : CRITICAL : Cannot create session bus: Did not receive a reply. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/233980 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 234029] [NEW] hebrew FF 3 - status line, hebrew text in reversed site name before label
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.0 when using the hebrew version of firefox 3 beta 5 --> looking at the status line, the label describing the current action and the site's name are displayed in reverse ordered. (it's ok in english but it is suppose to be reversed order in rtl hebrew and it is not) example (in english, but pretend it is in hebrew, please :-) how it normally should be: "loading site..."+"some site.com" how it is in hebrew: "some site.com"+"loading site..." imagine "loading site..." is translated to hebrew which breaks the order of the sentence in the rtl hebrew language. Public bug reported: after installing a new xfce4 on a fresh ubuntu (7.10) install i get tiny fonts when i log into xfce4 (gnome is just fine!) adding the following solved it: edit /home/USER-ACCOUNT/.config/xfce4/Xft.xrdb adding "Xft.dpi: 96" and saving it. re-login into xfce4 shows fonts correctly. please see if you need to fix this globally or did i have a local bug ? ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- small fonts after fresh install of xfce4 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/190648 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 137118] Re: Gnome splash screen and sound disabled in Gutsy
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 129029 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/129029 we have a P3 450Mhz (512MB) slow machine that takes a minute or so to display a full working desktop (gnome) after we choose the login user. in this time we just look at an empty screen with no visual indication of any login progress. suddenly we here the login sound (which is redundant, especially if we want to optimize stuff) but it stays (visually) the same until half a minute later it start showing the desktop's toolbars... please see if you can enable some minimal "desktop is load..." indication. [Bug 185685] [NEW] entire system crash when clicking some desktop icons
Public bug reported: i use Ubuntu 7.10 with a Clevo D631S Laptop. the system is up to date. it can work for hours some time with no problem (intensive multimedia + internet + word processing) and then i click on a launch bar icon or a desktop icon (starting open office or firefox) and the system's harddisk led blinks for a second and the entire system crash (immediately) and restarts. i've tried to remove wireless card (rt2500) / disable acpi / disable cpu throttling made a custom kernel with minimized set of modules... nothing helped. i've started the system up with a live DSL 4.1 cd (kernel version 2.4) and it crashed after some time too :-( i've tested the RAM with memtest. (seams ok) no log files are available since it crashes immediately :-( any ideas ? ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- entire system crash when clicking some desktop icons https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/185685 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
