Hi,

I just upgraded to ubuntu 9.10 from ubuntu 9.04, and got this error crash 
message shortly after starting work on empathy client.
dont know if that is enough info, if you need anything else or some more info 
let me know.

[Bug 57153] Re: xorg-server 1:1.0.2-0ubuntu10.3 breaks X: "no screens found"

Hi
It seems that the solution that I read here doesnt work for me, I down graded 
the xorg version to the version that is supposed to work, now gdm wont start, 
and I am completely lost as what am I suposed to do from here.
here is a part of the log file that is outputed after the x restart:

ATI Radeon X850 XT (R480) (AGP), ATI Radeon X850 XT PE (R480) (AGP)

(EE) No devices detected.

Fatal server error:
no screens found

The machine is a new Toshiba Tecra A8, which was running ubuntu for a couple of 
days without any problems, till i did the upgrade and no more GUI
Anything else any one can tell me, or should I re-install the whole thing, or 
maybe move to another distro?
