[Bug 919321] Re: System freezes while watching a streaming video [xubuntu]

2012-02-06 Thread nakki
Re-happened again listening a youtube video song on facebook's page.
I played the video then i scrolled down the page for reading others friends
posts. After a while I scrolled up the page for watching the video, but all the
screen became white and the audio went in a little loop. I tried to go on tty
by pressing ctrl-alt-F1, but nothing happened. Then i tried to press the power
botton to shut down the system like other times but it did nothing...

[Bug 918217] Re: Sometimes on the first login the xfdesktop does not load properly

2012-01-26 Thread nakki
Apologize for the delay but I had no time to write...I think the problem
is precisely compiz. From oneiric I always run automatically the command
'compiz - replace ccp' at system startup. In recent days I have removed
compiz startup and the problem did not appear. Now I just tried to boot
with the command 'compiz - replace' and the first time I had no
problems. But in the next few days I can confirm it or not.

[Bug 919321] Re: System freezes while watching a streaming video [xubuntu]

2012-01-24 Thread nakki
Happened again watching a youtube 720p video...
In a moment the screen was black and the audio goes in a little and repetitive
loop. After a while the image came again then blank, audio came back and
relooped a piece of it. For few minutes this was the situation, then I pushed
the power button a couple of times and slowly the system went down. This time i
had no compiz activated.
I attached the full log of the session.

minutes the pc shutted down.
I don't know if there is a bug in the kenel or in the X server, so i attached

2012-01-09 Thread nakki
Quote: "The only way to unmute is to do so by opening a mixer

The other way to unmute on my hp dv5 notebook is pressing the unmute
button and raise up the volume to 100% (still with the quick buttons).

This bug affects both oneiric and precise.

[Bug 565415] Re: X server crashes, screen turns black - Failed to submit batchbuffer

2010-05-19 Thread nakki
Hi, i'm italian and my english is not very good...A friend of mine upgraded
from 9.10 to lucid with an Acer TravelMate 2350. Now with 2.6.32.22 kernel,
after ubuntu logo X doesn't start, and system stops in black screen.
Ctrl-alt-f1;f2, and ctrl-alt-del have no effect. The only one mode to shutdown
is pressing power button for a few seconds. With the recovery mode X starts,
and yesterday evening we updated the whole system. But after reboot in normal
mode no results.
Then i tried to start with the 2.6.31.21 karmic kernel, and it start X
properly, but system seems not operate at 100%; for example firefox will not
start. I attach lspci and lshw.
