My system freeze after the trackerd took out the CPU resources up to 60%. However, my system appeared normal after I took out one piece of RAM. So as my suggestion, please take a check on your RAM as well? [Bug 148138] Re: High cpu usage on Xorg with gnome-terminal and transparency
I have something similiar, but I'm not sure it is the same or not. Here's my case after upgrade from Feisty to Gutsy. When I load netvibes in firefox and dragging the widget, it is showing very high cpu-usage (nearly 100%). This phenomenon happened when I was viewing large image using comix and dragging around. There's another case, which is when I open the screensaver but I'm not sure whether this is normal or not.
