[Bug 1005175] Re: XFCE panel don't hide when VLC in fullsceen mode
Ah, after testing this further the problem was really a corrupted config. Running rm -r ~/.config/vlc seemed to fix this problem for all versions of vlc. No that probably wasn't it. What happens is that when VLC was maximized before going to full-screen, the XFCE panel still shows up in fullscreen. If VLC was not maximized before going fullscreen, the XFCE panel does not show. You probably had VLC maximized, and when you deleted your config, it removed that setting, so the next time you started VLC it was not maximized and the fullscreen bug did not show up. This happens in VLC and Picasa (and probably a few other programs out there) ** Changed in: xfce4-panel (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1005175 Title: XFCE panel don't hide when VLC in fullsceen mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-panel/+bug/1005175/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 373415] Re: Selection in tree view does not work as expected
Confirmed. It happens to me every time as long as it is in a newly created Nautilus window. After a while, shift-clicking always in the same window, it stops happening, but it starts happening again if you change folder or start a new window. This is using Jaunty. ** Changed in: gnome-common (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed -- Selection in tree view does not work as expected https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/373415 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 357189] Re: hardinfo PCI device description is mangled
I think the same problem exists in the Computer-Boots section as well. It truncates it as Linux version 2.6.27-14-generic when the proper string is: Linux version 2.6.27-14-generic (bui...@palmer) (gcc version 4.3.2 (Ubuntu 4.3.2-1ubuntu12) ) #1 SMP Fri Mar 13 18:00:20 UTC 2009 (Ubuntu 2.6.27-14.30-generic) (my emailer may chop the above but it's all one line). I did not report this earlier because I thought the same fix would handle both, but looking at the patch, it looks like it's probably some other code segment. Cheers Leandro A. F. [Bug 357189] [NEW] hardinfo PCI device description is mangled
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: hardinfo using hardinfo 5.1.1 (this bug is also present in the current Intrepid jaunty hardinfo 4.2.3) Hardinfo seems to chop/mangle the output of PCI devices descriptions. This seems to occur when the description contains a ( character: the rest of the description is not displayed. [Bug 25931] Re: Failed to initalize HAL.
I ran into this problem after a Feisty-Gusty upgrade on a Mac G3 (PowerPC) machine. after renaming /etc/rc2.d/S50dbus to /etc/rc2.d/S12dbus the problem went away. (all other rc?.d/*dbus links where correct - only the rc2.d one was wrong). Since this is a fully backed-up machine, I checked my pre-upgrade backup (which was updated minutes before the upgrade): the file was properly named /etc/rc2.d/S12dbus Therefore it is the upgrade process that named the link S50dbus Hope this helps... -- Failed to initalize HAL. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/25931 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
