[Bug 1356244] [NEW] Security issue: Update not possible on encrypted disk after a few months
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 14.04 is running on a standard installation with fully encrypted disk. After a few months the update breaks because of a crowded /boot partition. Workaround: As you said you need to load the module: # cat /etc/apache2/mods-available/auth_openid.load LoadModule authopenid_module /usr/lib/apache2/modules/mod_auth_openid.so Enable it: # cd /etc/apache2/mods-enabled # ln -s ../mods-available/auth_openid.load . [Bug 87884] Re: strange Marvell 88E8053 Gigabit Ethernet
I wrote a PHP script that creates a webpage with an adjustable output size: ? for ($a=0;$a$size;$a++) echo X; ? When I put it on a server in the lan, everything works fine with every size of page. But when I put it on my webspace far away in the internet, the connection crashes with pages bigger than 950 bytes plus http header. The reason is simple: my cheap router can not split lage packages. All my computers have a MTU size of 1500 bytes without any adjustment, but only this one has 1320 after startup. I changed it. sudo ifconfig eth0 mtu 1500. And now everything works fine, I can browse the internet and do everything else I want to. Please, fix it. I needed hours to find this out. -- strange Marvell 88E8053 Gigabit Ethernet https://launchpad.net/bugs/87884 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 87884] strange Marvell 88E8053 Gigabit Ethernet
Public bug reported: Yes, this bug has already been reportet for older kernels. But it affects 2.6.20 in the newest beta of Feisty, too. The Marvell 88E8053 Gigabit Ethernet in my Intel iMac has a strange behaviour. DHCP works fine, ssh works fine, host works fine. But cat large file in a ssh session or any website in Firefox does not work. The connection crashes. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- strange Marvell 88E8053 Gigabit Ethernet https://launchpad.net/bugs/87884 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 87888] Correct resolution detected, but impossible to use
Public bug reported: The newest Feisty beta Live-CD detects the screen of my iMac correctly: In /etc/X11/xorg.conf I read 'Modes 1680x1050'. But this does not work with Vesa. I have to: -sudo killall gdm -sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf Change to 1024x768 -sudo gdm The 1024er is not nice, but better than nothing. The other live distros use 1024x768 automatically. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Description changed: The newest Feisty beta Live-CD detects the screen of my iMac correctly: In /etc/X11/xorg.conf I read 'Modes 1680x1050'. In Feisty i386 Herd 3 is the internal speaker off, but a headphone works. I have a 20 Intel iMac. [Bug 76318] Fixed
Now, in Ubuntu Feisty i386 Herd 3, the bug is gone. The boot menu works fine, the splash looks strange but works, X starts in 1024x768 vesa. [Bug 76318] Feisty live cd doesn't recognize iMac resolution
I have a 20 Intel iMac, too. Both Edgy i386 and Feisty Herd 2 i386 have the same problem. The boot menue works fine, but X does not work correctly. The ATI Radeon X1600 destroys the screen completely. Chosing safe mode in the boot menu did not do the trick. Look at the screenshots: http://www.netaction.de/bin/ubuntu/ I want to help fixing the bug, if possible. ** Attachment added: A program opened on gnome desktop http://librarian.launchpad.net/6073135/a-program-opened.JPG -- Feisty Herd 1 live cd doesn't recognize iMac resolution https://launchpad.net/bugs/76318 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 76318] Details
No, I was wrong. It happens only with the latest i386 ISO of Feisty. Edgy and Herd 2 do not even start X. I startet the normal live CD without any changes in configuration.
