[Bug 546425] Re: evolution duplicates sent emails (ubuntu 9.10 64bit)
Dear friends, Since about one month I installed on my laptop Acer Travelmate 4230 Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit. To manage my emails using gmail accounts I use evolution (2.28.1 version) program. The problem is: everytime I create a new email and, when ready, I send it, in sent mail folder (of evolution) I find 2 copies of this email. For example: Imaging I sent an email to my friend and after sent it I go to sent email folder in Evolution: From Subject Date me (23b...@gmail.com) Dear friends, how are you? today 19:31 me (23b...@gmail.com) Dear friends, how are you? today 19:31 This is the problem: 1 send 2 sent (in sent mail folder). Sometimes minutes in date are consecutives (I guess my sent is to the end of a minute (xx:59seconds..) so when evolution copy this sent email go on next minute). eg: From Subject Date me (23b...@gmail.com) Dear friends, how are you? today 19:31 me (23b...@gmail.com) Dear friends, how are you? today 19:32 Before I use Ubuntu 64 bit I used for some year Ubuntu's 32 bit and I never had this problem. So, I guess this problem/bug is linked to evolution program only for 64 bit systems. Lastly I think it's important to know that receivers always receive only 1 email. So I do 1 sent, receiver receive 1 email but in my sent email folder I've a duplicate. I hope gave enough infos, if you need more info please ask to me, I'll be happy to help you to solve this bug! [Bug 211252] Re: Cannot receive files using bluetooth
@Toni Ruottu: great job! I understand the hard work...and I'm happy because now it works for me! So good hard work did it!!! Sincerely I'd like to give my help too, but I don't have a great programming skill! :(( As I wrote before, now I can send/receive files from/to 6630-notebook and I can browse my phone too! Just a (small) bug: I can't able to copy a file from phone to pc by browsing way (the copy function by browse way works well only from pc to phone!) When I try to do that a small window file operation open on my screen without works and if I click on close button the window closes after time. But as I wrote before, doesn't matter, I can use with success the send command (or the copy function by browse if I need to transfer files from pc to phone). Just I would inform you about that. I want give 2 advices: 1) if someone has again problems after bluetooth updates.. maybe your bluetooth receiver is broken. (It's happened to me!). So, in this case...change it! 2) if you've all bluetooth packages updated and your bluetooth receiver isn't broken, try with this command: $ sudo hciconfig hci0 reset (and after did it wait some seconds..) :) -- Cannot receive files using bluetooth https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/211252 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Dear Emmet, I solved the problem fixing the bug. My problem was unable to send files from smartphone to notebook! I believe that none of the issues are present in Hardy, but would like confirmation from the reporters that I have accurately understood the problem. The following three issues seem described: 1) Problems receiving files sent to the computer 2) Problems sending files from the computer 3) Problems browsing files on a remote device via bluetooth. Description of my actions to attempt to repliate the issues from a base ubuntu-desktop install, with no adjustments to the default bluetooth configuration: A) Initiate bluetooth pairing from the remote device B) When prompted enter the PIN on the computer C) Attempt to send a file from the remote device D) In response to a Connection Terminated message, right-click the bluetooth applet, open Prefrences, and select Receive files from remote devices. E) Attept to send file from the remote device again F) Verify successful reception to desktop G) RIght click a different file on the desktop, select Send to..., Bluetooth, remote device name, unpacked H) Verify receipt of sent file on remote device I) RIght-click the bluetooth applet, open Browse Device, select the remote device, and see the remote device contents in Nautilus. In summary, it seems to work for me. If someone experiencing issues could confirm that the procedure above does not work for them, and specifically where it breaks, it may be that this is a soluable bug. Otherwise, I'm tempted to mark it Fix Released, based on various updates that have happened to the bluetooth stack, and it working for me in 8.04 (+updates), despite the clear confirmation from many that it was once a problem. -- Cannot recieve files using bluetooth https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/211252 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. [Bug 121791] Re: System freeze randomly
Hi to all, I've the some problem. Sometimes I launch totem (not always, sometimes randomly) the system freezes!! I'm sure this bug depends exclusively on totem because only when I launch this program the system freezes. I attached my syslog. I red syslog.0 but this problem isn't there.(last information on syslog.0 end the day before). When system freezes I can only press the fisical off button to off my notebook! Nothing else I can do! I can't logout, close X, open a terminal,...nothing. keyboard off, this last time mouse was on (the other times I don't remember) but I was unable to click! My info: Ubuntu 8.04 64bit Notebook acer travelmate 4230 What can I do? ** Attachment added: syslog http://launchpadlibrarian.net/16201248/syslog -- System freeze randomly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/121791 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 211252] Re: Cannot recieve files using bluetooth
Problem solved to send files from my mobile (nokia 6630) to notebook! I substitute obex-data-server ubuntu bug-file with working debian package on my x86_64 ubuntu gutsy. Only one problem remain... to browse my mobile with nautilus. When I do right click on Bluetooth Manager - browse device - connect, after few seconds a completely white windows appear. I'm unable to see inside my mobile. Why? I attached a screenshot about that.
