[Bug 372189] Re: file-roller waits 25 seconds before opening "create archive..." dialog
I also have a 25 seconds delay when I'm running file-roller manually through command line : $ file-roller --add ./PDF/ there is no disk load during the operation, and the PDF directory is empty... I don't know what is causing the delay in file-roller because it doesn't display any message. I also have this delay with this command (I don't know if it can help) : $evolution mailto:""?attach="file:///home/nic/Bureau/ODRHTCMAGIC.pdf"; running both file-roller & evolution directly (without argument) is OK, delay appears when passing a file . . . Maybe this bug is not related to file-roller so I'm about to test more... -- file-roller waits 25 seconds before opening "create archive..." dialog https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/372189 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 372189] Re: file-roller waits 25 seconds before opening "create archive..." dialog
Ok it works great with the guest account, but is there a way to fix? it's strange because there is no cpu/memoty/network charge during this delay. what happens during these 25 seconds? -- file-roller waits 25 seconds before opening "create archive..." dialog https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/372189 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 246584] Re: can not save podcast preferences
With my other computer, default settings : 1. create new podcast 2. enter the URL : http://rss.futura-sciences.com/fs/podcast 3. Dbl click on the first stream : download OK 4. go to podcast settings, set download location to /var/tmp 5. Dbl click on the second stream : download OK 6. I exit Rythmbox 7. I go back to Rythmbox 8. go to podcast settings, download location displays my home directory instead of "/var/tmp" but files are still downloaded to "/var/tmp" 9. go to podcast settings, set download location to /media/data100 (fat32) 10. Dbl click on the second stream : download FAILS, status is "waiting" forever, the directory isn't created for this podcast. As you can see, there is in fact two problems that are not related (as I thank in my first post) : 1. After opening Rythmbox, podcast preferences always displays my home directory, however the path I set in the previous session is used in the back end to save files. 2. Setting a download location to a fat32 partitions seams to prevent Rythmbox to save file (or create the directory for the file). In my first post i was also using a fat32 partition to save my podcasts. -- can not save podcast preferences https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/246584 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
