I have a similar issue but some slight differences. For example: gio copy file.log smb://1.10.2.1/folder/ gio: file:///home/user/file.log: Network dropped connection on reset When I copy, I get this error. On an old Linux Mint, I had the same issue and rolling samba back to 4.3.9 fixed it. Just want to add insight that removing libreoffice-gtk* does make Impress usable. However, I run into issues where sometimes the graphical rendering of the UI and some of the edits are glitched and don't refresh correctly. @kpijarski and @vuanomarco That bug is the right one. There is no workaround. The developer at AMD I spoke to several months back also expressed skepticism in having a fix for that. The only way I could get the second monitor to work is by using mirror mode which is absolutely useless. I'm now on open source radeon drivers which work but the power management stinks, but what can I do? 13.11 beta did not fix the dual monitor issues. Hi Marco, 13.9 is supposedly based on an older fglrx driver according to this post: http://devgurus.amd.com/message/132 I will not be filing a bug on Ubuntu as I don't use fglrx-updates package from Ubuntu. It is so. Dual head is still broken... I can confirm as well. I updated the intel drivers and I have a desktop on 13.04. I'm using an HP Pavilion G4 2123 TX (Intel/AMD hybrid AMD Radeon HD 7600M). This was happening to me too and it started all of a sudden. This was crazy as the double clicking made the system virtually unusable. I'm not sure about this as I have no real explanation, but after I unplug my crazy logitech mouse (which works on Windows) and put it back to the usb port that I most frequently inserted it in, the problem seemed to go away... or at least, it was greatly reduced. I tried 3 DVDs now called coasters. 1 of them stopped with an input/output error which was caused by DVD speeds higher than 2x. Two of them were coasters due to the fixating problem. My drive is a writer included in my laptop, Acer Aspire 5920g. I'm not sure of the exact make on this.
