I played a lot with hald and dbus ( sudo /etc/init.d/dbus restart etc.) and managed to fuck up gnome. After restarting X the DVD actually mounted (I think it was automatic). I had removed the /dev/scd0 line from fstab, so gnome mounted it with the DVD-label DVD#1. When ejecting from gnome, and inserting DVD#2 it still gets mounted as DVD#1, and not automatically. I have to access it from nautilus, then it mounts fine (but with wrong label). There allso seems not to be any lock on opening the dvd-bay manually, which I remember being there. Allso Gnome doesn't auto-mount dvd's for me, but sees them when I mount them manually. I have /dev/scd0/media/cdrom udf,iso9660 user,noauto 0 0 in fstab. Couldn't it depend on just Bitstream vera OR dejavu, instead of depending on both of those?
