[Bug 1901492] [NEW] Raspi kernel 5.8 doesn't provide wireguard modules

2020-10-26 Thread omni-vi
Public bug reported:

Hello,

I'm trying to install the package wireguard on the Raspi 4B under 20.10
(Groovy). Wireguard wants to install wireguard-dkms which in turn wants
to build the kernel modules even though kernel 5.8 comes with the
modules prebuild.

In focal the raspi kernel is listed as providing support for wireguard:

~$ curl -s
http://ports.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-ports/dists/focal-updates/main/binary-arm64/Packages.xz
 | unxz | grep -B11 Provides:.*wireguard | grep ^Package:
Package: linux-image-aws
Package: linux-image-generic
Package: linux-image-generic-hwe-20.04
Package: linux-image-generic-hwe-20.04-edge
Package: linux-image-raspi. <---
Package: linux-image-virtual
Package: linux-image-virtual-hwe-20.04
Package: linux-image-virtual-hwe-20.04-edge

In groovy the raspi kernel is not listed:

~$ curl -s
http://ports.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-ports/dists/groovy/main/binary-arm64/Packages.xz
| unxz | grep -B11 Provides:.*wireguard | grep ^Package:
Package: linux-image-aws
Package: linux-image-generic
Package: linux-image-generic-64k
Package: linux-image-generic-64k-hwe-20.04
Package: linux-image-generic-64k-hwe-20.04-edge
Package: linux-image-generic-hwe-20.04

Package: linux-image-virtual
Package: linux-image-virtual-hwe-20.04
Package: linux-image-virtual-hwe-20.04-edge

Is this a bug?

[Bug 1322892] [NEW] SSH ist unable to negotiate a key exchange method after latest update when curve25519 is required

2014-05-24 Thread omni-vi
Public bug reported:

After the latest open-ssh update (6.6p1-2ubuntu2) I can't connect to my debian
servers when I require KexAlgorithms curve25519-sha256 for that connection.
I'm using the homebrew Mac OS version of openssh as client and ubuntu sshd as
server. It used to work up until 6.6p1-2ubuntu1

The funny thing is, the ciphers seem to match during the handshake but I
get that error nevertheless.

You're right, it's Fusion 6.0.1

If you tell me I'm better off using VMWare Tools I'll do that. I'd just
prefer the open-vm-tools. If've been happy with them so far.

2011-10-24 Thread omni-vi
apport information

** Description changed:

Having upgraded to Oneiric I find the KDE plasmoids somewhat broken.
  There is no antialiasing.

Most prominent example are the hands of the clock :
http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/4392/bildschirmfoto7t.png
  Also happens with the temperature-meter:
http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/1687/bildschirmfoto8.png

  What I tried:
  - Upgrade to KDE 4.7.2
  - Delete Plasmoid and create it again
  - Create an new useraccount and try it

  Problem stays always the same.

  What else can I do?

It's a Lenovo T410 with Intel Corporation Core Processor Integrated Graphics
Controller and usual Kubuntu drivers.

[Bug 872789] Re: No antialiasing for KDE-Plasmoids after Oneiric upgrade

2011-10-17 Thread omni-vi
Trying to report this bug using apport-bug before I got the awnser that
I wasn't using Ubuntu packages. Which is strange since I only use those
and do not compile KDE myself.

[Bug 733155] [NEW] Kernel bug using two monitors

2011-03-11 Thread omni-vi
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.38-6-generic-pae

This is a problem on a notebook with additional monitor attached. I have
to admit I'm not entirely shure what exactly triggers the bug.

What i observed: Sometimes (not always) when I disable the internal
monitor (using randr) and let the external monitor go into powersaving
mode, when comming back on the console shows me a Kernel bug (see
attachment).

[Bug 728322] [NEW] Random plasma crashes

2011-03-03 Thread omni-vi
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: plasma-desktop

While using standard use of my plasma desktop, the desktop crashed causing my
plasma desktop to have to
restart. This is EXTREMELY annoying. When I tried to report this bug using
DrKonqui, it crashed. Every time. Then I tried to report the bug via apport-bug
but that crashed as well several times. Even kmail crashes randomly but I don't
know if there is a connection.
Luckily my browser doesn't seem to be affected.

Please look into this, as it makes working with KDE really difficult.

[Bug 630580] Re: [82G965] No compositing with kwin (and doesn't work well if enabled)

2010-10-01 Thread omni-vi
Don't know wether it's the same bug, but when start kde effects are
always disabled, and when I enable them, the screen freezes after some
time. Effects work up to that moment, though.

syslog error is:
[drm:i915_hangcheck_elapsed] *ERROR* Hangcheck timer elapsed... GPU hung
[drm:i915_do_wait_request] *ERROR* i915_do_wait_request returns -5 (awaiting
251495 at 251463)

The system is a corei5 with integrated graphics. I have all the updates
available.
This did not happen with Lucid.

[Bug 653093] [NEW] kde desktop effects disables by default and desktop freezes when enabled

2010-10-01 Thread omni-vi
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

Starting the KDE desktop the desktop effects are disabled. When enabled
manually, all effects seem to work but after some time the desktop freezes. I
can still move the cursor and change to the console.
The console is flodded with following error messages:

[drm:i915_hangcheck_elapsed] *ERROR* Hangcheck timer elapsed... GPU hung
[drm:i915_do_wait_request] *ERROR* i915_do_wait_request returns -5 (awaiting

[Bug 55035] Update overwrites manually changed files

2006-08-03 Thread omni-vi
Public bug reported:

I manually changed /var/lib/locales/supported.d/de. When I update
language-pack-de-base that file gets overwritten and all my changes are lost.
That should not happen.
The update should check all files, detect that there have been changes and ask
me whether I want to keep my version or install the new one.

** Affects: language-pack-de-base (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Untriaged
 Status: Unconfirmed
