Using Ubuntu 9.04, I can confirm this error. A VPN connection which
worked in Ubuntu 8.10 gives this error/warning from nm-applet:

** (nm-applet:32714): WARNING **: Error in getting active connection
'Vpn' property: (19) Method "Get" with signature "ss" on interface

** (nm-applet:32714): WARNING **: _nm_object_array_demarshal: couldn't create
object for /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/ActiveConnection/22

And nothing happens

[Bug 237424] Re: Evolution forgets webcal passwords, and web calendars are not displayed on the gnome-clock-applet

2009-01-27 Thread ostehamster
For me everything is broken now. Even if I try
webcal://username:passw...@server:/file, I get an error in the console,
saying that the keyring wasn't found.

That is if Evolution even starts up, and not crash with:
evolution: ../../src/xcb_lock.c:33: _XCBUnlockDisplay: Assertion
`xcb_get_request_sent(dpy->xcb->connection) == dpy->request' failed

Just great :)

[Bug 62751] Re: Upstart doesn't activate luks volumes in cryptsetup

2006-10-31 Thread ostehamster
Isn't this a problem with cryptsetup? I have a setup where a partition
on my harddrive is encrypted with a key. This key is saved in a file,
encrypted with openssl. Then I use pam_mount to mount it, whenever I log
in.

I have this on two laptops, so when the first laptop was reinstalled
with Edgy, I found out that I couldn't mount the encryptet system
anymore. Cryptsetup didn't complain, but mount couldn't find the ext3
filesystem that should be on the device. I made a new encrypted
partition using cryptsetup, which works just fine.

When I came to installing edgy on the other laptop, I wrote this info down:
1. The unencrypted key
2. The first ten lines from a hexdump of the encrypted partition
3. The first ten lines from a hexdump of the unencrypted partition “mounted” on
/dev/mapper/_dev_hda3 through cryptsetup

After installation of Edgy and cryptsetup, I did the same as above:
1. The unencrypted key was the same, which must indicate that openssl works
like in Dapper
2. The first ten hexdump lines of the encrypted partition was the same, so the
partition might not have changed (I should have made a MD5SUM of the entire
partition, but I am quite sure it is unchanged.)
3. Then I made a hexdump of /dev/mapper/_dev_hda3 after mounting it with
cryptsetup, which wasn’t like the one from the Dapper installation. Cryptsetup
didn’t complain about anything, but my guess is that the version of cryptsetup
in Edgy don’t work the same way as in Dapper.

I might be wrong, but I can’t see what else should cause this?

Regards
Christoffer

[Bug 44828] Re: Evolution looses some mails on the way from the inbox to the screen

2007-04-04 Thread ostehamster
Hi,

My evolution started to have this behaviour. This morning, I downloaded
about 25 mails, but only 4 or so i showned in Evolution, but they are in
different Inbox files in the Evolution directory.

I am wondering how long this has been going on, and how many mails I
haven't seen :/

Is there some way, to force evolution to index all the mails again?

Best regards
Christoffer

[Bug 44828] Re: Evolution looses some mails on the way from the inbox to the screen

2007-04-04 Thread ostehamster
Is there any specific data you are interesting in? There is a good load
of sensitive info in the .log file, so would prefer only to paste some
of it.

And actually, I have found a kind of work around. I opened the file
~/.evolution/mail/local/Inbox, and removed ALL lines that started with
"X-Evolution", and that worked.

So maybe the mail file and the index file gets out of sync? Although I
already tried to remove all .ev-summary without any luck.

But it seems that the "work around" I mentioned in the previous post
worked. I am checking all my emails account through webmail, before I

`xcb_get_request_sent(dpy->xcb->connection) == dpy->request' failed

Just great :)

Hi,

My evolution started to have this behaviour. This morning, I downloaded
about 25 mails, but only 4 or so i showned in Evolution, but they are in

I am wondering how long this has been going on, and how many mails I

Is there some way, to force evolution to index all the mails again?

Regards
Christoffer

(By the way, this is how I have made my setup:

Regards
Christoffer

And actually, I have found a kind of work around. I opened the file

[Bug 62406] Re: Doesn't detect cryptdisks

2006-10-30 Thread ostehamster
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 62751 ***

I have just installed Ubuntu Edgy, and can't get any of my encrypted
filesystem to work. Not even if I try to mount them manually with
cryptsetup.

Regards
Christoffer

(By the way, this is how I have made my setup:

[Bug 259189] [NEW] Crashing when trying to show an image with no content

2008-08-18 Thread ostehamster

I get some emails from berlingske.dk which are in HTML. The email
includes a tracker in form of a image, which the server says has the
mime-type image/vnd.wap.wbmp, which it isn't.

Every time evolution trying to show this images, it closes with a
segfault. I have tried to remove the field from the source of the
email, and the email is shown.

A hexdump of the tracker image is like below:
000 0202

Hope the attached gdb file is ok.

I can confirm this bug! I am not possible to see any of my calendars in
evolution, it crashes all the time with:

I guess this bug is for iwl4965 too. I use this driver, and it works
sometimes for normal surfing, but copy of files via scp makes it go
down.

[Bug 237424] Re: Evolution forgets webcal passwords, and web calendars are not displayed on the gnome-clock-applet

2008-06-06 Thread ostehamster
I have just upgraded to Evolution 2.22.2-0ubuntu1.2 and evolution-data-
server 2.22.2-0ubuntu1 and it still fails.

It seems that it tries to get the password from the keyring, but it isn't there:
e-data-server-ui-Message: Unable to find password(s) in keyring (Keyring
reports: Ingen træf fundet)

And when you type the password and check the "Remember password" box, it fails
to store the password in the keyring:
(evolution:12854): e-data-server-ui-CRITICAL **: ep_keyring_insert_password:
assertion `user != NULL' failed
