[Bug 507881] Re: Plymouth doesn't show messages sent before the splash screen is visible

2010-04-29 Thread papelhigienico
VirtualBox OSE or PUEL?

I don't know why, but OSE don't have USB, so I replaced it by the
VirtualBox 3.1.6 PUEL from Karmic and it's works fine.

I have the same problem... When I connect the AC power source in the
laptop and boot it, keyboard don't works! So I reboot it and everything
works fine!

Step by step to reproduce this are in the bug #366527

My solution is add to kernel the option: irqpoll

I see when the keyboard doesn´t work, my webcam not work too... I see that is
related with lose of irq's.

2009-04-25 Thread papelhigienico
I do more tests...

The sequence of events:

1- I plugged my laptop in AC power source.
2- switched on and the ubuntu starts. The keyboard don't work.
3- So I reboot it and keyboard works.
4- Powered off it without remove the AC power of laptop.
5- switched on again and the ubuntu starts. The keyboard WORKS.
6- Powered off it again without remove the AC power of laptop.
7- switched on again and the ubuntu starts. The keyboard WORKS again.
8- Powered off it and remove the AC power of laptop. Wait some time...
9- switched on and the ubuntu starts again. The keyboard DON'T work.

Every time that I remove the AC power source of the laptop and starts
it. I the same problem with slackware. With windows and FreeBSD keyboard
works every time.

Attached is the dmesg when keyboard is not detected.
