[Bug 202127] Re: Recurrent events and exceptions

2010-10-11 Thread pbrandao
Hello Leo,

Unfortunately I do not have the time availability to re-test this (currently
mainly using Windows).
So you may close the bug and if I do find the time and re-encounter the bug
I'll re-open it.

Thanks,

[Bug 337351] Re: kubuntu 9.04 freezes all the time

2009-07-13 Thread pbrandao
After seeing some other submitted bugs that should be related
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/375109
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/368642
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/367045

There seems to be a solution described in the ubuntuforums
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1130582

I've done the safe config and it seems top be holding (haven't used the
desktop for long yet).

[Bug 202127] Re: Recurrent events and exceptions

2009-06-24 Thread pbrandao
The duplication bug as disappeared, but the exceptions don't appear.

If I do 1, I can change the occurrences in Evolution. But the exceptions
don't show on the PDA.

If I do 2, I don't get on the PDA the exception, only the recurrence as
normal.

If I do 1 and change one of the occurrences in the PDA I don't get the
exception on Evolution.

Trying to change the full recurrent event:
Create on PDA
Change the time for all occurrences on Evolution
Event disappears visually on Evo (which crashed after adding another event)
After syn update on PDA is correct
After Evo restart the event is also correctly updated on Evo

After this I had to redo the sync group but nothing seemed to sync after that.
Although the msync referred to the events being received and sent nothing
appeared on either side.

Hope this helps somehow.

[Bug 337351] Re: kubuntu 9.04 freezes all the time

2009-06-05 Thread pbrandao
Hello all,

I am having the freeze with mouse working issue with *ubuntu/gnome* on
Ubuntu 9.04 . I do have the KDE4 packages installed, but am running the
gnome desktop. I'm having the already described symptoms of no keyboard
but mouse movement. Sys (magic) keys work to sync/unmount/reboot the
system.

At 1st I was thinking that the issue was related to the intel card issue:
http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/releasenotes/904#Display%20freezes%20with%20Intel%20graphics%20cards

I've tried the no visual effects stuff and option 2 on
http://www.ubuntugeek.com/intel-graphics-performance-guide-for-ubuntu-904-jaunty-users.html

But none seemed to solve the problem. Given that the issues with the
intel card did not mention the freeze with mouse working I guess (maybe
incorrectly) that my issue is related to the bug here. Although the KDE
part is missing.

The freeze is *not* related with suspend/resume or switching user env.
It did seem that most of the times when it occurred there was a high
disk usage (thunderbird +firefox+skype open, trackerd indexing, etc).

I've now removed trackerd (replaced with beagle) to see (hope is such a
beautiful think :) ) if anything changes.

[Bug 202127] [NEW] Recurrent events and exceptions

2008-03-14 Thread pbrandao
Public bug reported:

The synchronization of recurrent events seems to have some issues.
Namely if I create a recurrent event on my PDA I'm not able to add exceptions
in Evo.
If a create a recurrent event in Evo and add an exception to it, 2 events are
created in the PDA: one for the normal recurrence and another for the exception.

Reproduction of 1:
1) Create a recurrent event in PDA
2) Sync with multisync
3) Try to change one occurrence of the event. The initial error is Object Not
Found and after insisting nothing happens (window does not close)

Reproduction of 2:
1) Create a recurrent event in Evo
2) Change one occurrence in Evo
3) Sync with multisync
In PDA you get different events: one for the recurrent event and other with the
exception.

Trying to fiddle with this synched recurrent events brings other issues
(try to change the event in PDA after 2)

Ubuntu: 7.10 (gutsy)
Evolution: 2.12.1
Multisync: 0.82-8build1
