Re: [Bug 325181] Re: evince wont print to my lpd:// printer.
Re Testing in Jaunty/Ibex. I will try but I am not hopeful. These versions do not support my Marvell ethernet chip(skge driver), or my Intel internet chip(e100 driver) properly and so I cannot get them to work with my LAN. I have reported this bug months ago, as far back as Hardy in fact, but never got an answer. Thus I cannot really test since my printer is network attached. Further I would need to test from the live-DVD since I am not about to install a system that does not work. But I will see what I can do. Greg Morse. [Bug 327511] [NEW] Alsa Mixer does not show a record Checkbox on any Audigy device
Public bug reported: Running ubuntu 7.1 (Gutsy). I have internal sound chip which shows up properly in Gnome Alsa Mixer. I have an add-on PCI card SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS. The Alsamixer shows the many many Audigy devices, but does not have a Record Checkbox attached to any of them; not to microphone, or line-in or line2-in etc. Per a ps -ef | grep d I am not running any pulse audio or jack daemons. here is the output of lshw -C sound r...@shadow:/home/greg# lshw -C sound *-multimedia:0 description: Multimedia audio controller product: SB Audigy vendor: Creative Labs physical id: b bus info: p...@:00:0b.0 version: 04 width: 32 bits clock: 33MHz capabilities: pm bus_master cap_list configuration: driver=EMU10K1_Audigy latency=64 maxlatency=20 mingnt=2 module=snd_emu10k1 *-multimedia:1 description: Multimedia audio controller product: VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio Controller vendor: VIA Technologies, Inc. physical id: 11.5 bus info: p...@:00:11.5 version: 60 width: 32 bits clock: 33MHz capabilities: pm cap_list configuration: driver=VIA 82xx Audio latency=0 module=snd_via82xx Here is the output of lspci r...@shadow:/home/greg# lspci 00:00.0 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc. Note the name assigned to the Audigy card; it inlcludes a comma. I think this generates other problems with applications but I am not certain. Not the total lack of record check-boxes on any device. PS the reason I am still running Gutsy is because the Hardy and Ibex versions will not properly work with my wired lan. See my other bug report. Regards, Greg Morse.
