[Bug 1955704] [NEW] systemd/plymouth preventing reboot/shutdown
Public bug reported: Plymouth seems to be busy with trying to show a "Halt" and also a "Reboot" screen during shutdown, and in trying to do so preventing the actual shutdown procedure to succeed. It even continues to do so after forcing the shutdown/reboot procedure as can be seen in the attached screenshot. Systemd then continues the show with waiting for an obscure kwin process, which ceased to exist long before. Normally you can open attachments with a double click, either directly with the respecting application or thunderbird will show a window asking to set the application required to open the file.
