[Bug 1943296] [NEW] Ubuntu 18 LTS won't install
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 18 LTS won't install because of a fatal error during installation process. I'm using a 500gb sata SSD that is freshly wiped, I partitioned it using the installation manual partitioner. I got Win 10 on another Drive (M.2) I chose to install alongside it and it just crashes. I chose the option of downloading specific drivers (I got a AMD 3100 CPU and a AMD 5700xt GPU). I tried many times with different configs and it just wont install. [Bug 1173349]
on my opensuse 12.3 with KDE4.10.2 and graphics card = NVIDIA Quadro NVS 3100M and I'm using proprietary 304.88 nvidia drivers from the opensuse nvidia repo, crashes happens also in the other installation on the same pc with nouveau drivers. after having read this issue I disabled notifications from the system tray, rebooted launched luckybackup and after few minutes the crash happened. I was running only luckybackup, the crashes happens very often, one week ago I deleted the ~/.kde4 folder, the crashes stopped, but day by day the crashes becomes more frequents, now even just started kde and many times a day, kwin works ok I think becouse beclock works, altf2 works well becouse is the only way to interact wit the system as the crash windows don't works well becouse it says me to click on the install packages but if I click there nothing happen, so I installed all the debug packages and created this backtrace hoping to be useful: thanx, ciao, pier :-) Application: Plasma Desktop Shell (kdeinit4), signal: Segmentation fault Using host libthread_db library /lib64/libthread_db.so.1. [Bug 1175251] Re: kubuntu upgrade from 12.10 to 13.04 leaves system unusable
found solution for me (and some others), as I have a 64bit system; Kubuntu Forums: After upgrading to 13.04 trying to log into KDE pops up an error message appeared Could not start d-bus. Can you Call qdbus? Running qdbus pops up the error: qdbus: could not exec '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt4/bin/qdbus': No such file or directory The reason was that qdbus:i386 was installed instead of qdbus:amd64 (my system is 64bit). Running apt-get install qdbus:amd64 fixed the issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1175251 Title: kubuntu upgrade from 12.10 to 13.04 leaves system unusable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1175251/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 151752] Wrong message in gnome-power-manager italian translation
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kde-i18n-it Hi, it's my first report bug, sorry for any mistake. I saw that when battery is in charge and the charge time is unknown the final part of italian message is Il tempo di caricacamento della batteria non è conosciuto that is a little bit wrong and also hilarious. The correct phrase is Il tempo di caricamento della batteria non è conosciuto. I know it's a very little contribution... but better than nothing better! ;) Thanks for everything!!
