[Bug 107821] Re: no sound with lenovo 3000 n100 0768FEG
Hi Roberto, I've got the same laptop than you (Lenovo 3000 N100 0768-FGG) and I'm using same linux kernel (2.6.20-16-generic). I've got sound with my laptop. I mean: - sound is fine without noise - sound is loud (same as with windows vista) - internal speaker aren't switched off when I plug in headphones (I mute speaker with (gnome) volume control) I've followed more times this tutorial https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HdaIntelSoundHowto and have used this patch http://rapidshare.com/files/31068197/alsa-patched.tar.bz2.html . I'm using this driver: Sound Driver:3.8.1a-980706 (ALSA v1.0.14rc3 emulation code) Hope this will help, Don't hesitate to contact me if I can help (I'm not a specialist but if you explain me what you need I will do my possible) with Cheers, Pietro -- no sound with lenovo 3000 n100 0768FEG https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/107821 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 107821] Re: no sound with lenovo 3000 n100 0768FEG
Thanks Udo, I did a mistake: I paste the old config (before to patch). The correct one is: # cat /proc/asound/oss/sndstat Sound Driver:3.8.1a-980706 (ALSA v1.0.14rc3 emulation code) Kernel: Linux coinovo 2.6.20-16-generic #2 SMP Wed May 23 01:46:23 UTC 2007 i686 Config options: 0 Installed drivers: Type 10: ALSA emulation Card config: HDA Intel at 0xd240 irq 21 Audio devices: 0: ALC861VD Analog (DUPLEX) Synth devices: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG Midi devices: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG Timers: 31: system timer Mixers: 0: Realtek ALC861-VD I did't install the 1.0.14rc4 but the 1.0.14rc3 that was in the patch. I will try with the last version... -- no sound with lenovo 3000 n100 0768FEG https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/107821 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
