[Bug 67534] Re: Thinkpad T60 doesn't suspend after upgrade to edgy
I found a workaround to get my T60 to suspend. There are two steps: first, install powersaved and kpowersave and use it instead of the built-in powermanager. second, install the attached deb for uswsusp. The uswsusp in the repositories (version 0.2) doesn't work. I built the package with the sources from http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/u/uswsusp/ and with pbuilder (the .deb provided there depends on libgpg-error0-1.4, edgy has 1.2-1). With this, my laptop suspends and resumes very reliably. ** Attachment added: ".deb packaged by me with pbuilder" http://librarian.launchpad.net/4938173/uswsusp_0.3%7Ecvs20060928-2_i386.deb -- Thinkpad T60 doesn't suspend after upgrade to edgy https://launchpad.net/bugs/67534 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 68009] [Edgy] Battery Status Systray Icon is misleading
Public bug reported: The systray icon of guidance-power-manager, which represents the battery status is quite misleading. As an example, see the attached screenshot of the icon at 94% charged. It looks more like 75%. This isn't mission critical, but quite annoying. ** Affects: kde-guidance (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- [Edgy] Battery Status Systray Icon is misleading https://launchpad.net/bugs/68009 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 67534] Re: Thinkpad T60 doesn't suspend after upgrade to edgy
I have the same problem, although not exactly the same symptoms. The 'Moon' LED blinks, xorg shuts down and the background lamp goes off. But then it doesn't suspend completly, the fan is still running and there is periodical hard disk activity (very short, about every 5 seconds). When closing and opening again the lid, the background lamp comes on again and I see a blinking cursor. Hitting the 'Fn' key has no effect, there is no way to get the laptop back to a usable state other than a hard reset. I have a T60 with a ATI x1400 and I have the fglrx drivers installed. -- Thinkpad T60 doesn't suspend after upgrade to edgy https://launchpad.net/bugs/67534 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
