[Bug 1852417] Re: WIFI drops every 10 min

2019-11-17 Thread plato
I checked again today by running speedtest.net on my desktop running
Ubuntu 19.10 and my laptop running macOS. The download speed for Linux
is 0,84 MBs, and after some time the wifi stops. The download speed on
the Mac is 40Mbps

Does anybody else have the same issue? Shall I install an Ubuntu LTS
version so that problem' solved?

Thanks!

[Bug 1852417] [NEW] WIFI drops every 10 min

2019-11-13 Thread plato
Public bug reported:

As soon as I updated to 19.10 (Ubuntu Budgie) My WIFI drops every 10
minutes. I then restart, problem is solved and then again the same.

The strange thing is that I also have a laptop running MacOs and WIFI
works fine. So there is no problem with my network.

Is there a solution to this?

Cheers!

The newest version of synergy, ie the beta version seems to be fixing this

[Bug 946186] [NEW] IRC Channel text input field resized

2012-03-04 Thread plato
Public bug reported:

I understand that since pidgin 2.4.0 manual resizing of the text field has been
removed. But when I tried to log onto an IRC channel on Pidgin 2.10.0 (running
on ubuntu 11.10) the text field resized itself to be almost inpossible to do
anything.
Any other conversation has the right size. And it continues if I try to reload
the app.
As well as the resize, a verticle bar is added to the left and the roomlist of
nicks is colour coordinated but they aren't in the atual channal
I used to use ubuntu on 10.04 with pidgin and everything ran fine without these
issues

-Regards

[Bug 568711] Re: resume from suspend does not work

2010-05-26 Thread Plato Puthur
For me I made it worked.
I did as per this guy said in the post
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=9362429#post9362429

What i Did was, enabled extra option in the "visual effects" from change
desktop background.
then opened update-manager and checked for any updates. Then installed whatever
came in that list.
Then reverted back from extra to normal, as i never liked these graphics things.

I tried suspend/resume and guess what?, it worked.
I havent tried the hibernate options as i deleted my swap partition. :)
