[Bug 849174] Re: Bibus is not installable in Oneiric (depends on python2.7)

Hi,

[Bug 281743] Re: [intrepid] vlc crashes right after start with every video

2009-06-14 Thread pognonec
Can I suggest a weird test?
Open Rythmbox Music Player directly (do NOT play anything with it).
Minimize it if you want.
Open a file (mp3 or avi or whatever) that you want to play with VLC.

In my case, then VLC works again. What about you?

Don't ask me why!

PS: if I try again, but without opening Rythmbox Music Player directly,
VLC still closes right away...

[Bug 195982] Re: Shift key (and caps lock) stop working when using VMWare

2008-11-13 Thread Philippe Pognonec
Hi there,

I had the same problem: shift key suddenly stopped working, after having played
around with cubes in Compiz. I turned off the
System/Preferences/Appearance/Visual effects to none, and shift key magically
came back. Don't ask me why, but now, I won't show off with Compiz anymore (or
should I write: compiz?).
It may have to do with the video card (I am on Dell XPS M1130, on 8.10
Intrepid) with the NVIDIA driver 173 (I had problems with the 177).

[Bug 152965] upgrade 7.04 - 7.10 impossible

2007-10-15 Thread Philippe Pognonec
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-manager

The following windows pop up right after launching update manager 7.04 - 7.10:
Getting upgrade prerequisites failed

The system was unable to get the prerequisites for the upgrade. The
upgrade will abort now and restore the original system state.

Please report this as a bug against the 'update-manager' package and
include the files in /var/log/dist-upgrade/ in the bugreport.

This is reproducible, unfortunately...

Re: [Bug 95550] Re: After screen saver (flying toasters) got interupted by my coming back, the screen was like split in a lot of subunits.

2007-04-18 Thread Philippe Pognonec
Hi there,
I run Edgy 6.10
My video card is Geforce 2 MX200, chipset NVIDIA GEFORCE 2 MX, 32Mo
The driver: I guess is the one installed by default by Ubuntu? I did not
do anything specific: I installed Ubuntu, and it worked!
(Newbie here...).
Thanks from Nice, France.
Philippe

[Bug 95550] After screen saver (flying toasters) got interupted by my coming back, the screen was like split in a lot of subunits.

2007-03-24 Thread Philippe Pognonec
Public bug reported:

Well, as explained in the title... After screen saver (which, quite
often turns to black after a while) interupted by mousing around, the
display was like plenty of horizontal lines, repeated in 4-6 vertical
column...
