[Bug 507089] Re: thunderbird shredder always segfaults on startup with LDAP auth in nsswitch
Update on #145: I just noticed that the nscd demon is crashing during login. After restarting the service firefox starts and functions again. Don't know the cause for nscd crashing, but I believe it is off topic here. I don't mind this post and #145 being removed by the admin. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/507089 Title: thunderbird shredder always segfaults on startup with LDAP auth in nsswitch To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/seamonkey/+bug/507089/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1100190]
I can confirm this bug too on Ubuntu 14.04 and LibreOffice 4.2.7.2 Using owncloud webdav. Error description: receiving "general input/output error" when trying to load a document from a Nautilus davs folder. Workaround: Open the document in LibreOffice using "File/Open". [Bug 1297286] Re: Wireless connection keeps disconnecting
Update: I had not a single wifi disconnect since the kernel upgrade about 1 week ago. I am using 802.11n at 300mbps, accessing intranet servers, file servers as well as the internet very reliably. This is making me extremely happy :-)) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1297286 Title: Wireless connection keeps disconnecting To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1297286/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1297286] Re: Wireless connection keeps disconnecting
Kernel update: Step 1) go to URL: kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.18-vivid/ Step 2) Choose the kernel suitable for your system (32-bit or 64-bit) In my case I chose: linux- image-3.18.0-031800-generic_3.18.0-031800.201412071935_amd64.deb Step 3) Download it Step 4) Open it using the Ubuntu Software Center for installing it. Step 5) Reboot Step 6) Check kernel version: Open Terminal with CTRL-ALT-T, type "uname -a" and then hit in the command prompt. The kernel version should be on 3.18 now and your wifi issue hopefully fixed. Hope that helps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1297286 Title: Wireless connection keeps disconnecting To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1297286/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1297286 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1297286 Maybe you should consider a kernel upgrade to 3.18. [Bug 1297286] Re: Wireless connection keeps disconnecting
Kernel 3.18 appears to be fixing Ubuntu bug #1297286 (wireless disconnecting) at least in my case. Since I upgraded the kernel from 3.13 to 3.18 the issue appears to be gone completely. Using Asus USB-N53 adapter with Ralink RT3572 chipset. Stable wifi connection in 802.11n mode (300+ mbit/s) connecting to local network and no disconnects anymore! Highly recommended!! [Bug 1301125] Re: Lock screen after idle time freezes unity
Exactly the same issue here. Fresh installation and opensource (no catalyst) ati drivers (Radeon HD 4670). This is frustrating, especially as it is already half a year after the 14.04 release. When 12.04 came out, I changed the graphics card (removed NVidia 8800 and replaced it by Radeon 4670) on my workstation because I couldn't get the system work correctly. Do we have to change graphics cards possibly everytime after a major release?? Pardon me for this small rant, but this is utterly frustrating. That said, I'd like to mention that the broken "suspend" function hasn't been fixed now in years. We run more than 5 different computers and laptops here in the office. Not one is able to suspend and to resume correctly. I know that doesn't belong into this thread, but I just needed to rant and unload some frustration that I picked up over months and years. Other than that, I love Ubuntu :-)(despite some new window/menu related focusing issues in Unity lately...) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1301125 Title: Lock screen after idle time freezes unity To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/1301125/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1312586] Re: Default 14.04 server installation fails with error 'busybox-intramfs cannot be installed'
Same problem here with an USB stick. The installation fails.
