This has been a problem since edgy. 'mc' works perfectly well in 'gnome-
terminal' and 'xterm' which are the two x-terminals I tried. I use to
have 'mc' inside the 'gnome-multi-terminal' as my work hub even since
before switching to Ubuntu. There seems to be a problem in the way 'mc'
handles the graphic characters to represent the edges. Switching to a
text terminal with 'ctrl-alt-fn' shows the same problem handling the
edges even there. Trying 'mc -a' to use sticks instead does not solve
the problem in any case either. I keep a copy of
'mc_4.6.0-4.6.1-pre4-2-i386.deb' which was the last mc to handle the
graphic edges in all terms. I am unable to solve this, so I would
appreciate any help. Thanks.
