[Bug 112518] Re: Switch User freezes at blank screen
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 160264 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/160264 still happening occasionally to me with 15.04 This does not appear to be the same as #160264. The steps to reproduce are different. The resolution is different. There is no white screen. Switching never gets as far as logging in. Never is there a point when the white screen (which doesn't exist) goes away. Hard reset is only solution. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/112518 Title: Switch User freezes at blank screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/112518/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1173952] Re: Suspend and hibernate not working in 13.04/13.10 with alx module
I'm not sure if this is the same issue or not. Entering suspend automatically according to timeout and initiating it from the menu do not work since upgrading, but I can suspend from the terminal. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1173952 Title: Suspend and hibernate not working in 13.04/13.10 with alx module To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1173952/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 831049] Re: no audio
I still can't get any analog audio to work, but when I first log in I have a few seconds of HDMI audio then pauses in the audio start to appear and after a few more seconds I just have occasional pops and bursts of sound. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/831049 Title: no audio To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/831049/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

So far I have tried the headphone jack, different speakers in the speaker jack, headphones in the speaker jack and I just went and bought an HDMI cable to see if there was anything coming out that way. [Bug 831049] Re: no audio
Thanks for your help. I am using the onboard soundcard. When I'm checking levels in the pulseaudio volume apps I sometimes get strange errors. If I start the volume app then open a video in VLC, VLC will sometimes say it couldn't initialize a soundcard, but the meters in the pulseaudio volume app show activity for VLC. If I open VLC first, the Pulseaudio volume program will often say it has no connection. I will attach my alsa-info as you asked. ** Attachment added: "alsa-info" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/831049/+attachment/2302279/+files/alsa-info.txt.GA6KIkZpDl -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/831049 Title: no audio To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/831049/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
