[Bug 235325] Re: kmail freeze

2008-09-10 Thread ratalstar
Even with KDE4 installed, the problem was still there.
Updating from KDE4.0.X to KDE4.1 solved the concern !

2008-06-04 Thread ratalstar
I found actually kontact works well if skim is not launched.
I had some problem at upgrade to unbuntu8.04, it is linked.
I will try to reinstall packages and see for any improvements.

[Bug 235325] [NEW] kmail freeze

2008-05-27 Thread ratalstar
Public bug reported:

Hello,
Since my upgrade of kubuntu, kmail/kontact launches and displays well but it is
impossible to click anything, no response. (with kde 3.5.9)
I close the windows, process continues running. I need then to kill process to
be able to open a new kmail or kontact which freezes again.
Here is what I have when I launch from console :

I tried to find out from a while and even tried to compile sources (kdepin
3.5.9) : again kmail, does not compile ; error message is
Pas de règle pour fabriquer la cible « kmail-3.5-filter-icons.pl », nécessaire
pour « all-am ». Arrêt.
translated : No rule to make target « kmail-3.5-filter-icons.pl », needed for
all-am. stopped.

It's like this file is missing from package or some other missing (from upgrade
?). Don't understand and I am not really programmer, just user with time small
experience of ubuntu system gathered.
I prefer using Kontact instead of evolution or thunderbird for its integration
and more specifically for its connectivity with egroupware I use on my server.

Would it have of course any bad interaction with KDE4 (I tried to remove
and put back, no impact).

Thank you for support, just a small light ? An other forum I would have
missed ?

[Bug 175054] mouse cursor disappear

2007-12-09 Thread ratalstar
Public bug reported:

My mouse cursor disappears when I use for instance konsole or kaffeine.
Unfortunately, it does not reappear, I have to guess position of cursor but I
can still click.

This is true only when I use nvidia driver, not with nv.
I was using compiz I removed -> no improvement.
I tried several version of nvidia drivers, legacy and proprietary, no
improvement.

I was using feisty without any problems with following configuration :
2 x video cards nvidia 7600GS in SLI
After upgrade to gutsy, I had several problems I solved except this one.

I am still confused, is it a X or a driver problem (I did not see
anything abnormal in xorg log) ?

Here is my xorg.conf :

[Bug 159966] update manager always active even after upgrade from feisty to gutsy

2007-11-04 Thread ratalstar
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-manager

Each time I do an update with adept manager, It proposes me to upgrade
distribution
I recently upgraded from Feisty to gutsy with some problems... especially 3D
acceleration, but this is an other concern.
I then follow each time the process to upgrade and finally tells me it is
already upgraded but after many downloads.
