I don't know if this can help someone else but it did remove the problem for me. I had this problem on both my Samsung nc10 and my Lenovo laptop running Ubuntu 10.04. All i did was enable Ubuntu-backports and Lucid proposed, updated all packages and made a reboot. Another thing i noticed. When using right-click and synchronize folder with Ubuntu One, the synchronized folder doesn't get any emblem at all. When choosing a hard drive the window becomes to big to fit on screen and there is no scrolling option, so all the menus can't be reached without minimizing the window and using alt+mouse. Then if i click on a partition sometimes the window gets minimized in a weird way. The window list object stays on the panel but the application gets separated from it (see picture). When this happens it's impossible to maximize the windows again. This is still an issue for me with 9.10 Beta, i think it's very irritating to have the same error message present itself on each boot without helping out with a solution. These are the kind of problems that can never exist for the normal user, they wouldn't have a clue of what to do. . I also have these crashes with network-manager and they've been around since i installed the beta.
