Re: [Bug 56286] Re: vmplayer fails to start if usernames are stored in LDAP
Sorry, but I no longer work at the place I had this problem and currently I am not using VMWare. Regards, /Adam Soltan, jr. [Bug 153980] Re: 7.04-7.10 Upgrade fails: Getting upgrade prerequisites failed
The post by supermarron above seems to have worked for me: - For me worked change the file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/prerequists-sources.list and change the server that wasn't responding to another one, from: http://es.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu feisty-backports main/debian-installer to http://en.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu feisty-backports main/debian-installer With that no more problem, but now I don't have a local server in mysources.list. --- I also happen to be in Spain as SuperBrown :-) is (note 'es.' in source list url) and so maybe there's a problem with that - although I tried 'main' and 'us' many times already. [Bug 144920] Re: Prerequisites download fails if gpg authentication fails on over-aggressive caches
I have the same problem described here. I've tried almost all the suggestions I've seen related to sources.list and also the suggestion above by 'ari' with no difference. I guess I'll either post my logs (as requested) to an existing report, or open a new one. Any suggestions for other workarounds to try? -- Prerequisites download fails if gpg authentication fails on over-aggressive caches https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/144920 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 150258] Re: Gutsy update crashes on prerequisites
Please post what you did to get it to work, as there are others here with the same issue. Update Manager downloads the upgrade tool and runs it: Distribution Upgrade - Preparing the Upgrade step Error Dialog: Getting upgrade prerequisites failed The system was unable to get the prerequisites for the upgrade. The upgrade will abort now and restore the original system state. Please report this as a bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the files in /var/log/dist-upgrade/ in the bugreport. I'll attach those files to this post. ** Attachment added: Apt Log http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10310989/apt.log -- Gutsy update crashes on prerequisites https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/150258 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 56286] Re: vmplayer fails to start if usernames are stored in LDAP
Hi! The problem doesn't really seem to be connected to user verification. It works just fine when the user has elevated rights like, say, root. When attempting to run vmplayer as J Random Nerd user I get the same exact error message and no VMware.
