[Bug 67224] Re: Pidgin chat refresh bug

2007-12-17 Thread rpolach
Because this problem is still present even in 2.3.0 (from GetDeb) and
http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/938 is marked as fixed
I have filled new upstream ticket related to newer versions of Pidgin:
http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/4419

Probably upstream bug reference should point to this instead of 938

2007-11-25 Thread rpolach
Well I am going to describe the problem more preciously.
If it is still not sufficient, please tell me, and I would try to record some
desktop show.

Steps for reproducing:
1) start synaptic from gnome menu.
2) When main window is displayed (still disabled because synaptic is busy at
start) point the mouse pointer to "Search" icon on window toolbar
3) Wait for synaptic main window become enabled
4) Try to click the search button (move pointer only inside button widget
boundaries) - clicks do not work at all
5) Then move mouse pointer outside the button widget and back again
6) Click the button - now it works.

[Bug 163311] system monitor shows significantly incorrect memory usage

2007-11-17 Thread rpolach
Public bug reported:

System monitor shows these values on its "Resources" page:

User memory: 290.3 MB of 503.7 MB
Used swap: 257.5 MB of 517.7 MB

but on the "Processes" page I see (when I sort records on the Memory
column descending):

7.7 MB
5.4 MB
4.1 MB
3.1 MB
2.8 MB
1.9 MB

so its sum is about 37.51 MB.

So one of these values must be very wrong.

This situation is seen after Firefox and LinuxDC++ was running and then closed.
Maybe
some allocated memory was not properly put back?

[Bug 158830] [needs-packaging] Duplicate Tab (Firefox extension)

2007-10-30 Thread rpolach
Public bug reported:

Duplicate Tab - http://twanno.mozdev.org/

an extension for firefox; description form project homepage:

Duplicate Tab allows you to clone a tab along with its history. So you can
browse forward or backward in the history of the cloned tab, while reading the
current page in the original tab. You can duplicate a tab to a new window or to
the same window as the original tab.
Duplicate Tab also allows you to open a link in a new duplicated tab, so the
new tab will contain the history of the original tab.
Another feature is the ability to merge windows: When you have several windows
open, you can merge all tabs in all windows into one window, thereby closing

[Bug 111321] Re: Gnome Panels and applets seem to Jump around

2007-10-30 Thread rpolach
I have similar problem:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/158388
Applets moves for example every time I run mplayer in fullscreen mode.
I found that it is caused by the fact some applets automatically changes
"panel_right_stick"
attribute in gconf, although I do not know why.
Hope it helps to solving this problem. Btw. Is anybody working on this?

[Bug 158388] applets changes position on the panel

2007-10-29 Thread rpolach
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I have these applets/object on the top panel in gnome (counted from left side):
menu bar, network monitor, Netspeed, system monitor, sensors-applet,
run-application-applet, notification area, volume applet and clock applet.

Many times per day most applets changes their position themselves
to the most position on right side, although I make them locked before.

I tried to set their "panel_right_stick" attribute in gconf, but nothing
helped.

Note it happens in the same session - I did not logout before I saw
positions changed.

[Bug 154924] Gutsy: Network Manager forgots my connection settings

2007-10-20 Thread rpolach
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mplayer

My wi-fi adapter is XI-626 and it worked correctly in Feisty (with manual
settings, no Network Manager).
I tried to set my wireless network connection using Network Manager now in
Gutsy...
(Note: I have installed Gutsy to a new partition, so no network connection
setting relict from Feisty could cause the problem.)

I chose "Connect to other wireless network" from NM applet menu
and fill correct Essid, WEP HEX key, etc.,
then I was able to browse web etc...
after first system restart, the connection was still correct but
after the second restart, it disappears completely.
I repeat setting Essid, WEP HEX key, etc. and it connected again..
but after several restarts in disappears again..

[Bug 154917] Gutsy, Totem: DVD Menu - does not work at all

2007-10-20 Thread rpolach
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mplayer

In Gutsy Final:
When I insert DVD ( /dev/scd0 ) Totem automatically starts and plays
first track of that DVD. In "Go" menu there is an item "DVD Menu" that is
enabled now.
But when I clicked it, nothing happens.
So does Totem finally support DVD menus or not?
