[Bug 770307] Re: 'Search All Notes' dialog not working in Windows 7

2012-11-29 Thread rs232
Thanks NeoAndersen, that is a good workaround!

Hope it gets fixed, it is quite annoying. It actually looks like it
writes out to -32000 for some reason then gets stuck.

Changing it in the file did nothing. I realized I had to edit it as
Admin, but still no dice.

Your fix worked for now, thanks!

[Bug 1004197] Re: Opening new server opens to black the first time

2012-05-31 Thread rs232
It appears you are correct.

Also, just a bit of more info. The workaround you gave i.e. changing
the size of the screen seems to fix the problem for the entire session.
When I was opening two windows it was only fixing it for that particular
server. So I recommend using jmilus' advice of resizing the window.
That gets around the issue for now.

I'll have to test on another ubuntu machine to see if the issue is
happening everywhere. You would think that if it were, we'd see a lot
more people responding or posting the bug.

Perhaps it is something we have installed in common? I have
substantially tried to lower my Compiz footprint by disabling a lot of
the fancy graphics teaks.

[Bug 1004197] Re: Opening new server opens to black the first time

2012-05-29 Thread rs232
I can confirm that jmilus' workaround works the same as reopening the
window.

Additionally, I have also confirmed that when the screen is black, the
connection is made, but the login does not happen. Once the screen size
is changed, or a reconnection is made, the login occurs. It appears to
be between connection and login to the server.

[Bug 1004197] [NEW] Opening new server opens to black the first time

2012-05-24 Thread rs232
Public bug reported:

When I open a new server from the main Remmina window the first time, it
opens a window, but only shows black. Netstat shows a connection was
established. But the window consistently stays black.

If I close the window and try to reopen the connection, the same thing
happens.

If I open the first black screen, and then immediately open the second
screen, the connection works.

2012-05-08 Thread rs232
Thanks Jean-Louis, This PPA works! I'll let you know if I have any
issues. This even seems to fix my issue with the last version of
Remmina and XP clipboard.

PPA: https://launchpad.net/~dupondje/+archive/ppa
FYI: to anyone trying this, once I added it to my updates, I had to pkill
remmina and restart to get it to work.

[Bug 929619] [NEW] Screen unlocks before asking for password

2012-02-09 Thread rs232
Public bug reported:

My screen goes into lock, either by my doing, or automatically. When I
come back and move the mouse, or enter something on the keyboard, I am
briefly able to work as the user logged in. This has been long enough
where I feel I could do some damage if I wanted to in may cases. The
screen then locks and asks for a password, after a bit of moving around
the system.

This has been happening since ubuntu 10.11 at least, and the 11.11
install was a clean install.

[Bug 870138] Re: .xsession-errors fills hard drive until system crashes
