[Bug 254638] [NEW] german grep manpage differs from `grep --help` and english version of the grep manpage
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: manpages-de When using german manpages e.g. the option "-o" is not listed in the manpage, but when typing "grep --help" it is. Clearly this is a translation error cause the translation seems a little outdated. With `LANG=C man grep` this option is listed. So there is a need for a newer translation. 1) Description:Ubuntu 8.04.1 Release:8.04 2) grep: Installed: 2.5.3~dfsg-3 Candidate: 2.5.3~dfsg-3 Version table: *** 2.5.3~dfsg-3 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3) Expected: That on german systems the option "-o" is in the german manpage. 4) Actual: The option is not listed in the german manpage but in the english version it is, and in `grep --help` it is too. ** Affects: manpages-de (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- german grep manpage differs from `grep --help` and english version of the grep manpage https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/254638 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
