[Bug 930447] Re: Unable to start Ubuntu 12.04 live CD with syslinux loader on Pentium M x86 Laptop due to bug in PAE kernel, initramfs or syslinux
I must agree with Jeff on #132. I have been using Ubuntu since (I think) 6.04 I have current generation hardware without the PAE issue. I faithfully upgraded with each release, and worked hard to work around the NVidia garbage for old KVM switches that do not allow the driver to see the hardware. 12.04 has been the first release that has consistently frozen, which seems related to the amount of video displayed. OK I thought, This has had to many generations of upgrade. Time to start clean. I downloaded the 64 bit live disk. IT WOULD NOT BOOT! (Did it multiple times with multiple systems always doing the checksums) So I have a system that runs on 12.04 (and freezes) and I can not do a clean install. So I tried Fidora 19 (heritic) and it seems just fine. hummm what to do? [Bug 906365] [NEW] System Monitor Resources tab CPU display colors misbehaving
Public bug reported: System Monitor resource is using the same color for two different processors graph in the CPU display. When I set them different, and I stop and start the utility, when it comes back up, I expect the two processors trace color to be different. Instead, the change is reflected in two processors again making them the same. This seems to be something very new, in just the past few days, perhaps as a result of some recent update. [Bug 557065] Re: frozen PS2 mouse/ keyboard
I had and fixed the problem as discussed here. I have ASUS hardware. It turned out that ASUS has it own installed software that has a bug, that they do not provide source for, and that they have no intention of fixing or supporting for anything other than windows. If you black list the ASUS software atk0110 , everything works fine. To blacklist the driver (so it doesn't get loaded) go to the directory /etc/modprobe.d and edit the file blacklist.conf Add the line blacklist asus_atk0110 to the file Check out this bug. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input- evdev/+bug/632048 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/557065 Title: frozen PS2 mouse/ keyboard -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
