You don't need a repository. Since you're using Ubuntu 12.04, you already have what is called Rhythmbox 3 in the music plugin. Sorry, I meant that you currently have Rhythmbox 3 on your system. This looks like an error in the overlay scrollbar. The error you get from emesene means that there is already an instance running which is logged in from the same account. You can prevent this from happening by running emesene as emesene -s. This bug is still not fixed for emesene, because it uses multiple windows. I attached a test showing the problem: if one window is shown, the other (iconified) window won't pop up if you click on the launcher entry. This bug affects emesene and causes conversation windows to never appear. In Natty, one could still access them through Alt+Tab, but in Oneiric, they're simply unreachable. This basically makes emesene useless in Oneiric. The webcam feature isn't supported anymore, because Live Messenger now uses a closed codec that isn't available on linux.
