[Bug 518560] Re: Transcode does nothing
I can confirm this in both 9.10 and 10.04 for me as well on multiple video sources. However, some video sources do/did work. Description on Lucid+versions: Transcode process under Dvdrip hangs before second pass (at least for me, never reaches second pass). Package Versions: Ubuntu Lucid 64-bit beta Dvdrip version 0.98.11-0ubuntu2 Transcode Version: 3:1.1.5-0ubuntu6 -- Transcode does nothing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/518560 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 200868] Re: nvidia-settings doesn't have permissions to write xorg.conf
This issue appears to still be complicated/unresolved to many end-users, as I have twice now explained to them on how to properly do this. Please continue to find the best possible solution. -- nvidia-settings doesn't have permissions to write xorg.conf https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/200868 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 377023] [NEW] no sound through internal speakers hp dv2-1030us notebook
Public bug reported: Bug/problem description: On the hp dv2-1030us notebook, you get no sound from your internal laptop speakers though you do get sound from the headphone jack. (This apparently happens on other hp notebooks as well with different audio controllers). OS: Ubuntu Jaunty 64bit with all updates as of 5/14/09 LSPCI -v output of sound device for hp dv2-1030us: 00:14.2 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA) Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device 3055 Flags: bus master, slow devsel, latency 64, IRQ 16 Memory at f030 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K] Capabilities: Kernel driver in use: HDA Intel Kernel modules: snd-hda-intel Description of cause of problem: The cause, according to some alsa developers, is an incorrect 'pin' assignment (in the BIOS, perhaps) whereby sound output meant for the internal speakers gets routed to the wrong place. Solution: The latest alsa-driver snapshot provides a fix for this issue. ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/tiwai/snapshot/alsa-driver-snapshot.tar.gz #> ./configure --enable-dynamic-minors #> make #> sudo make install-modules #> sudo vim /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base [add 'options snd_hda_intel model=hp-dv5' sans quotes to the bottom of the file, even if you have a dv4, etc.] #> sudo reboot ** Affects: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- no sound through internal speakers hp dv2-1030us notebook https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/377023 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
