[Bug 192648] [NEW] opera refuses keyboard input in gutsy (SCIM related?)
Public bug reported: Running Gutsy on a Dell Dimension desktop. Ever since since upgrade from Feisty , opera at times refuses to accept keyboard input , I can open new tabs and browse . I can even paste input by using the middle button of the mouse (but not ctrl+V or right-click-paste) but cannot input anything else. If I restart Opera the problem disappears but can sometimes reappear after a few minutes.. The is no special input or errors in the terminal. I installed Gutsy for my friend on a Thinkpad and he experiences the same situation. We are both using SCIM on Gnome to input Chinese/Japanese in an English language session. The reason I mention SCIM is because a similar problem was reported here : http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=689583 and SCIM is suggested as the culprit. ** Affects: opera (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- opera refuses keyboard input in gutsy (SCIM related?) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/192648 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
