[Bug 262712] [NEW] New mail icon doesn't dissapear when it should

2008-08-29 Thread sharperguy
Public bug reported:

When the flashing icon for a new mail message appears in the
notification-area, it disappears correctly when the new message is
opened. However, if one of the messages is deleted instead of read, the
icon doesn't disappear and continues to flash until single-clicked.

[Bug 13090] Re: Nautilus sound preview doesn't work with OGG files.

2007-04-16 Thread sharperguy
This feature did not work for me until I installed vorbis-tools and
mpg123.

The fix should be provide vorbis-tools out of the box and mpg123 when
you ask for mp3 codecs (in Feisty)

[Bug 94880] nvidia-glx broken - kernel module in wrong place

2007-03-22 Thread sharperguy
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.20-12-generic

The problem is as follows

The nvidia-glx driver is looking for its kernel module at
/lib/modules/kernel/drivers/video/nvidia.ko

However linux-restriced-modules provides the kernel module as /lib
/linux-restricted-modules-2.6.20-12-generic/nvidia/nvidia.mod.o

This means that the nvidia-glx driver cannot run as the kernel module is
missing.

[Bug 87986] Re: [Xubuntu Feisty] nvidia-glx from the repository doesn't work

2007-03-22 Thread sharperguy
The nvidia.ko file is actually here:
/lib/linux-restricted-modules-2.6.20-12-generic/nvidia/nvidia.mod.o

I have softlinked this file into the place where nvidia.ko goes and the
driver is now working

[Bug 93364] Package Request: Armagetron Advanced

2007-03-18 Thread sharperguy
Public bug reported:

Amragetron Advanced is an enhanced version of the game Armagetron.

It is available at http://armagetronad.net

However, they do not have a debian package for it on their site, and it
is not available in any of the ubuntu repositories.

At the moment the only way of installing it is using an auto package,
using alien to convert an rpm, or compiling from source - All of which
have caused problems at least for me (dependencies etc).

A package should be built for this and put into the latest release (and
then ubuntu-backports for other releases)

umm, how hard will this be to fix, really?

I assume you talking about the border around a single icon not being
transparent, yea?

[Bug 53356] vmware-player-kernal-modules does not support current kernal

2006-07-18 Thread sharperguy
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: vmware-player-kernel-modules

The packages available in the current dapper repositories are:

* vmware-player-kernel-modules-2.6.15-23
* vmware-player-kernel-modules-2.6.15-25

But the current kernel version is 2.6.15-26. So the
vmware-player-kernel-modules prebuilt module package should also be updated.
