Removing libgpod-common worked for me, using a first generation ipod
shuffle 1gb on Ubuntu 10.04. But, I'm also hesitant to remove default
packages.

I cannot play any files in Rhythmbox. I have all MP3 files, and they
were playing fine, but today I opened it up and no matter what file I
try to play, Rhythmbox freezes and I have to force quit. I don't know
what information you need, so please let me know.
