[Bug 1910785] [NEW] Missing kio_nfs missing in kio-extras package

2021-01-08 Thread slodki
Public bug reported:

kio-extras package 4:19.12.3a-0ubuntu4 does not include kio for NFS
protocol. I cannot find any patches for disabling kio_nfs build target -
so I think this module is skipped because missing build dependency to
libtirpc package required to build NFS support in kio-extras:

https://github.com/KDE/kio-
extras/blob/d0566619a4dc5a0c9b410b6e469b51eaf124dae6/CMakeLists.txt#L192

Can anybody add missing NFS support to kio-extras package? It should be
as easy as rebuilding this package with libtirpc-dev package build
dependency.

[Bug 1787644] [NEW] add wxsqlite3-gtk3 package

2018-08-17 Thread slodki
Public bug reported:

In Ubuntu Bionic libwxsqlite3-3.0-0 (3.4.1~dfsg-1) uses libwxgtk3.0-0v5
(3.0.4+dfsg-3) package, while wxWidgets webview module is avaiable as
libwxgtk-webview3.0-gtk3-0v5 (3.0.4+dfsg-3) using libwxgtk3.0-gtk3-0v5
(3.0.4+dfsg-3) only:

$ ldd /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libwxsqlite3-3.0.so| grep wx
libwx_gtk2u_core-3.0.so.0 =>
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libwx_gtk2u_core-3.0.so.0 (0x7f5e2da07000)
libwx_baseu-3.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libwx_baseu-3.0.so.0
(0x7f5e2d578000)
$ ldd /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libwx_gtk3u_webview-3.0.so| grep wx
libwx_gtk3u_core-3.0.so.0 =>
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libwx_gtk3u_core-3.0.so.0 (0x7ff6cca2d000)
libwx_baseu-3.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libwx_baseu-3.0.so.0
(0x7ff6cc59e000)

It's impossible to use both webview and wxsqlite together now. Please
add wxsqlite package based on gtk3.

MMEX application uses wxWebView for displaying dynamic graphical reports
using JS so using wxHtmlWindow will not be right solution IMHO.

[Bug 1720953] Re: libwxgtk-webview3.0-dev unmet dependencies in artful

2017-10-04 Thread slodki
I'm talking about stable Debian and stable Ubuntu - I expect Debian
stable with this change be published in 2019 and there is time to
rebuild this library or switch to another one by applications authors.

This bug report is about change in Ubuntu artful, expected to be
released as stable in next 2 weeks. I don't understand why this change
is implemented few days before release without chance to rewrite
applications using this library.

Ubuntu should follow this Debian change with similar schedule with
ability to deliver compatible library version or to update depended
applications.

MMEX application have artful packages already prepared and published but
they are broken with unmet dependencies now.

 .
 This package contains various plugins for the Marble desktop globe. The Marble
 globe widget library may not be of much use if this package is not installed.
 .
 This package is part of the KDE education module.

[Bug 1685484] Re: DHCP exit hook for setting systemd-timesyncd NTP servers doesn't work

2017-05-04 Thread slodki
I think new NM dispatcher script for timesyncd should be executed not
only on up/down actions, but on dhcp4/dhcp6 change to (and connectivity
change to maybe - see
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/tree/src/nm-
dispatcher.h#n27). It should be possible to update NTP servers on each
DHCP options change.

[Bug 1685898] [NEW] sddm-helper (login screen) hangs with pam_limits maxlogins

2017-04-24 Thread slodki
Public bug reported:

sddm-helper hangs when user tries to login more then maxlogins PAM
limit. No mouse/keyboard control possible, only VT change possible.

HOW TO REPRODUCE:

1. Activate PAM maxlogins limit for the user (max 1 session for user
basia):

$ echo 'basia - maxlogins 1' | sudo tee /etc/security/limits.d/no-
multiple-sessions.conf

2. Start first plasma session from SDDM login screen:

[Bug 1685484] [NEW] DHCP exit hook for setting NTP servers doesn't work

2017-04-22 Thread slodki
Public bug reported:

I think it's regression for
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1578663 in zesty.

1. NTP servers are send via DHCP and seen by NM:

$ nmcli con show connection1 | grep ntp
DHCP4.OPTION[30]:   requested_ntp_servers = 1
DHCP4.OPTION[31]:   ntp_servers = 80.50.231.226
217.96.29.26 212.160.106.226

2. timesyncd is using hardcoded default NTP server:

4. There is only one default timesyncd.conf file with default values:

5. DHCP hook installed as /etc/dhcp/dhclient-exit-hooks.d/timesyncd is
not working,
TIMESYNCD_CONF=/run/systemd/timesyncd.conf.d/01-dhclient.conf is not
created.

6. After manually executing steps from hook all works as expected:

$ sudo mkdir -p /run/systemd/timesyncd.conf.d/
$ sudo cat </run/systemd/timesyncd.conf.d/01-dhclient.conf
> [Time]
> NTP=80.50.231.226 217.96.29.26 212.160.106.226
> EOF
$ sudo systemctl try-restart systemd-timesyncd.service
$ sudo systemctl status systemd-timesyncd.service

[Bug 1681652] Re: Laptop screen does not turn off when closing lid from login screen.

2017-04-12 Thread slodki
I think you don't have problems with login screen (where new desktop session is
launched) but with screen locker tool, running in active session.
You should check if problem exists when you logout from desktop session to
login screen - this is different piece of software, not related to selected
user desktop session (plasma/gnome/etc. with own screenlocker).
