I am pretty sure there is nothing to do with vista. However, as I noticed
lucky AMD owners do not have this problem anymore

I have the same problem Someone mentioned bios f.21 I only can see f.21 for dv7. Did someone tried to flash dv5? Probably bad idea :) Can't wait for this bug to be fixed.
