No no luck im afraid! finally managed to reinstall to try a fresh go but
nothign keeps crashing on restart any other ideas im trying a  variety

OK got a solution although it involved me reformating and loosing everything in 
windows!
great. but anyway managed to figure out making a ubuntu flash drive so to save 
my cds this should be recommended BTW as it saves money and is faster t! it 
said it would install with windows then trashed the partition. but oh well.
after this booted up and reinstalled ubuntu it mended its self

Hiya i cant use the ubuntu CD as apparently theres a bug with WUBI or
somehting iv tried reporting and they looking at it, so been installing
in windows have easily 100 gig hard drive space and been installing with
a variety of sizes for ubuntu and still no luck as thought it was that
also! very confuzzled :(

OK rebooted and renched out all USB devices but stil same crash error init 
thing! :(
it was a usb port connected which supports my mouse and printer!
reattached another photo of the happy error, this time he doesnt mention the 
USBs :S

ubuntu as it crashes and dont seem to find anyway including safe mode to

wanted to format my hard drive and make it a pure ubuntu machine! however when 
i try to install ubuntu in windows and restart it says
kernal panic - syncing attempt to kill init  folled by dumping ftrace buffer!?
any idea what these mean in english, it works fine in windows soc atn be 
hardware and did work before i reinstalled ?!

i had this problem before and you sent me a solution - it appears that theres a 
conflict with my sound card and tv card -  they both try and get the same slot 
for audio  - sorry i cant get into ubuntu right now could you by anyc chance 
check my history for this. As i cant seem to find anything on how we fixed it 
last time.
MOre importantly im using a belkin wireless usb card and cant get ubuntu to 
work at all, it starts up and then completly crashes when i plug in the usb 
card. can you help at all with this as i really would love to continue using 
ubuntu however we have now switched to wireless and would love to continue 
using ubuntu

i have just updated ubuntu - yesterday dont ask me what it was but i did cos i 
trusted you guys! it was a whooper though - bout 45 megs ! after i installed 
this it told me to restart ubuntu for the effects to take on. i followed this 
through howveer we now have a problem. its broke :(. it says "gdm could not 
write to your autrisation file. This could mean you are out of disk spaceor 
that your home directorycould not be opened for writing. in anycase its not 
possible for you to log in. please contact your system admin"
thats all i ahve got! cant really get any further afte ri click ok im back to 
my login screen and whene ever i try and log in thats the error i keep getting. 
really confused about it my hardrive is fine not low on space and has been fine 
for ages!
please help me with this  hate using windows!

I am using the latest version of ubuntu, and when it starts up i randly
get the soudnto work but there is no patter, if i reboot my pc and log
into ubuntu, it can wrok sometimes, then at others not at all. i dont
understand there is no aplication that i use specifically to mkae this
happen i have checked the sound mixer and nothing is muted. everything
here looks fine but it just wont work! i use a sound audigy 5.1 surround
sound card of that helps
