[Bug 70582] Max ratio doesn't work

2006-11-06 Thread stsykin
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ktorrent

For some reason, setting the max upload to download ratio seems to gave
no effect, with much greater uploads than downloads happening in any
case.

[Bug 53803] Re: randomly exits

2006-11-03 Thread stsykin
I have no idea, because I use Edgy now, however, I doubt its a general
KDE bug because it is not p[resent to the best of my knowledge in Edgy.

[Bug 59433] Re: breaks display

2006-10-25 Thread stsykin
The problem seems to have gone away of its own volition (it wasn't even
soon after i did an upgrade, I just thought I'd try again), so I'm
closing this bug. Interestingly, sudo nvidia-glx-config enable did
nothing, telling me that the nvidia driver couldn't be found, but
changing my xorg.conf manually worked perfectly.

ctrl+alt+del doesn't reboot for me. Should it? I use Kubuntu and it just
enters the screen which asks me if I want to shut down, go into standby,
etc.

actually, ctrl+alt+backspace restarts X and I did mean reboot. Also, I
already tried reinstalling all the drivers, and everything is already
up-to-date.

[Bug 59433] Re: breaks display

2006-09-08 Thread stsykin
X doesn't work if it is installed at all. It is a fully updated version
of edgy. I have no idea what was actually broken, but after installing
nvidia-glx it stopped working. I figured out how to get the tty shells
working though, if I hit the esc key it started working for some reason.
Very odd. Have since uninstalled nvidia-glx and made a new xorg.conf.
Everything working again. I did change to nvidia drivers in xorg.conf (I
just ran the sudo nvidia-glx-enable function which changes xorg.conf).

2006-09-08 Thread stsykin
Sorry. I did mean sudo nvidia-glx-config enable. I wropte this last
night when I was just about to go to sleep ;). I have all those packages
installed and the latest version of usplash. I didn't install the linux-
restricted modules manually though, maybe that was the problem.

Public bug reported:

I am using kubuntu amd64 and when I press on the shutdown or restart
buttons, it just goes tio a screen that says system halted and does
nothing else leaving me to shut it down manually (hopefully this hasn't
caused any data corruption). Tjhe onyl thing which seems to work is sudo
reboot -f in the command line.

[Bug 59433] Re: breaks display

2006-09-07 Thread stsykin
It is a clean install, on an amd64 machine. I am using the latest
amd64-generic kernel (2.6.17-7 I think). The TTY's don't have anything,
just when I try to switch between them nothing happens. TTY7 (the one
where X should work) just has a blinking cursor. I do have X. The system
appeared to be workign eprfectly before, then when I installed nvidia-
glx and restarted it stopped workign immediately.

[Bug 53803] randomly exits

2006-07-23 Thread stsykin
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kicker

Kicker randomly exits. It seems to happen about once a day on average
although there are some days when there are three incidences of this and
on other days none. It seems to happen most when I click on the kmail
icon in the system tray opening up kmail, but then kicker dies (only
sometimes). I have no idea how to replicate the bug, but it has been
happening for about a week.
