But it doesn't show as red/pink when I do a screenshot.

Do you have the Visual Effects enabled?Does it happens without them?


Didn't but just enabled it and no effect

Can you take a screenshot of the problem?


 Tried to do print screen of it but just does blue screen, if do screenshot
shows image as would expect it to appear(i.e. no pik background)

Which video card do you have?


 have i810 Graphics card

Does the same happens with totem-gstreamer?


Have gstreamer plugins
