[Bug 1733578] Re: “Welcome” step still says “directly from this CD”
Would it be appropriate to change it to "You can try ${RELEASE} without
making any changes to your computer, directly from this installer."
That would cover odd use cases such as virtual drives, as well as USB,
external hard drives, etc.

Yes it did relate to the scanning application, which was downloaded from software centre. I am not familiar with the bug reporting process, but thought if I reported to someone, the problem may be fixed sooner... I also still have the issue. 64bit version 10.04. Gnome-shell stopped working after standard daily update... :( Trying to install gnome-shell gives back the dependency error for libgjs0. I have the Dell dimension C521 and am running Feisty 7.04 I get the same message at startup MP-BIOS bug 8254 timer not connected and I used to get a kernel panic message as well telling me to try the noapic kernel parameter, I don't get that bit of the message any more since I updated the kernel but now when I start up I get the grub loading page then a flashing curser and at the bottom a kernel alive message but it goes no further, I switch the machine off and try again, after three attempts it says MP-bios bug 8254 etc... then loading and Ubuntu starts up but it's always three attempts before it will load !! How do I choose 'noapic' and will it solve the problem?
