[Bug 1537463] Re: 10ec:5286 [Clevo W310CZ] Realtek Card Reader not working

2016-01-27 Thread sugo
Sorry I can't test with the upstream kernel. After I type modprobe tifm-
sd the sd card reader works even with older kernel. I can't revert the
change. May be another with the same problem.

[Bug 1537463] [NEW] 10ec:5286 [Clevo W310CZ] Realtek Card Reader not working

2016-01-24 Thread sugo
Public bug reported:

I have a Realtek 5289 sd card reader. With the rts driver I can read only SDHC
cards. But when I read this comment
http://askubuntu.com/questions/258533/realtek-card-reader-not-working/261504#261504
I try only to type the command
modprobe tifm_sd
just one time and then even if I reboot I can read also normal SD card. Also
the output of lspci changed. Previously was like this:
04:00.0 Unassigned class [ff00]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. Device 5289
(rev 01)
and now is
03:00.0 Unassigned class [ff00]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL4811 PCI
Express Card Reader (rev 01).
I can't now revert the change to confirm what I say, because I am not pretty
sure if is the result of the command, but may help to other users.

2016-01-23 Thread sugo
I have a Realtek 5289 sd card reader. With the rts driver I can read only SDHC
cards. But if I do what is suggested here
http://askubuntu.com/questions/258533/realtek-card-reader-not-working/261504#261504
 or
modprobe tifm_sd
magically I can read also normal SD card. For me the problem is solved.

[Bug 1271728] [NEW] gnome-settings-daemon always crashes in xrdp session

2014-01-22 Thread Sugo
Public bug reported:

I'm running Ubuntu 12.04.4 in a Hyper-V virtual machine on Windows 2012
R2. I am using Xrdp with X11rdp to allow remote access using an rdp
client (usually the Microsoft client).

Some random time after logging in with rdp as any user, gnome-settings-
daemon crashes and the apport window opens. I've submitted several of
those error reports. Everything else in the session keeps working
normally and I can simply close the window.

When I login directly on the machine instead of via rdp the problem
seems not occur, though I seldom do that and could just have been lucky.

I realize that I could probably disable apport but of course a fix would
be better. I've attached the crashlog with all the details.
