[Bug 981058] Re: Firefox freezes constantly while scrolling or using menus
Having the same symptoms, but this was resovled for me by turning off smooth scrolling (as commented on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/958852). Can anyone confirm if turning off smooth scrolling resolves this issue for them, as well? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/981058 Title: Firefox freezes constantly while scrolling or using menus To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/thunderbird/+bug/981058/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 958852] Re: Desktop freezes randomly when using smooth scrolling and/ or hardware acceleration
Confirmed the same symptom for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, using Firefox versions up to and including 13.0.1. This froze the desktop session to the point of not being able to switch out of Xorg to an alternate terminal. After upgrading the kernel to 2.6.31-19, devicekit-disks (007-2ubuntu4), and enabling DMA again, I am receiving no errors after testing extensively. I was one of those plagued with this bug, causing havoc on my netbook SSD. Can anyone else confirm a resolution on their end?
